A guest from Prince George, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2016 Great time in Whistler. Loved the rental unit, excellent location, would stay here again. Some downsides:The balcony only extended 17 inches, a fat person would have a tough time going out onto the balcony and shutting the door behind you and no room to keep your bikes out there (which is technically not allowed). Mountain bike storage, they say they have storage in the parking garage but it was completely overflowing with kids bikes/cheap bikes with no more room to lock them. I have found this typical with other rental units in Whistler as well. We see most people keep their bikes in their rooms or balcony although it's posted many times that bikes in the rooms will result in a fine. There is A/C in the room but only in the master bedroom. Still a great unit well worth the price.
A guest from Kirkland, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2016 It helps to have great weather on a vacation! The front office staff is very organized and professional. A bit of a walk to the chairlifts, but a great location for shopping and restaurants.I didn't give five stars for the condition of the property because the staircase to the parking garage needs a good cleaning!
A guest from Malvern, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2016 The condominium was very clean and comfortable and conveniently located. Definitely spacious enough for our family of four. Loved the kitchen and eating area. It was also very quiet because it faced the town library and not the pedestrian street. One tiny fix may be the master mattress could use a cushioned overlay.
Fredrik P. from Lund, recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2016 We had a very pleasant stay in Whistler. Ski conditions superb, nice restaurants. A "cosy" atmosphere in the village. The staff of Deer Lodge somewhat formal except for the australian guy who was very friendly and cooperative.
A guest from London, Livesey Ward recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2016 A fairly basic apartment (there was a hot tub in a separate building but we never explored that far), but definitely had all we needed for the stay and in such a great location. Can't fault it! Would stay again for sure ....and a very convenient bar just downstairs so not far to walk/stumble home
A guest from Redmond, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2015 My family of 5 rented this 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. We had no idea what to expect, but when we were arrived we were thrilled! It turned out to be one of the biggest condo's at Deer Lodge and had views from all angles. It had a great living area, gas fireplace and a nice kitchen with EVERYTHING you could possibly need to cook a fiesta! We were very sad to leave after a weeks stay, but thankful for just a great home away from home on our family vacation.
Kevin P. from San Antonio, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2015 Great accommodation, great location, but poor property management.
Property Manager Response: Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc. Strange unfounded statement considering we did not hear from the guest. Check in and out were very simple. What more does the guest require?
Chris C. from Pittsburg, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2015 The unit was adequate and clean, but could use some upgrades. The furniture was uncomfortable. While I understand the owners not spending more than they have to, the mattresses were not comfortable, and the fireplace either did not work, or we just never did figure out how to turn it on. The unit still uses a code-style lock, which apparently confused the front desk when they gave us key cards and we came back down because we couldn't get in the room. The (advertised) balcony is a Juliette style balcony which 4 people cannot fit on even just to stand. The bedrooms could use TV's-one had a very old TV that wasn't hooked up to cable, only played movies. No TV in the other bedroom at all. All in all, it was satisfactory, but we will probably look at other options on our next visit.
Property Manager Response: Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc. The front desk was provided with the access code to give the guest checking in. With coded locks, guests do not have to worry about losing keys or cards.
Looks like the guest was expecting something more than they found. This unit has been well kept with furniture being replaced as required, flat screen tv in the living room, free wifi, washer, dryer, etc... It is the first complaint about the beds, so again, not exactly what they guest expected. If we had received a call about the fireplace, we could have explained how to make it work, or have maintenance check it
A guest from Richmond, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 The property was fairly well-maintained, and the amenities were good (washer and dryer at the rental property, free internet, access to hot tub in adjacent building). Location was good as it was right in the heart of a cluster of restaurants and stores (including El Furniture Warehouse for cheap eats), plus a 5 minute walk to a 7-11 for any late night needs. It was also not too far away from the Central Village. However, the main reason I'm rating this 5 stars is because of the excellent customer service I received from the rental agent. I had a million questions before my trip and kept contacting him, but he answered them all in the most friendly manner. There was also a mix up on my last day but I was able to reach the rental agent right away even though it was at night, and was immediately helped. I wouldn't need all this room by myself, but it's definitely a perk when staying with multiple people, so if I ever visit with a group of friends again, I would inquire if this property is available.
A guest from Chilliwack, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 This unit is in a great location if you want to be in the main village. It was very clean and well appointed. The beds were really comfortable except for the pullout sofa which was absolutely useless (but from my experience that is always the case) so don't count on using the pullout sofa bed. Because it is in the main village, there was a fair number of yahoos strolling past during the night yelling and singing but that's the price you pay for being in the village. The unit itself was great.
Gavin W. from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 Great space for family of four, even if our children complained about sharing a double bed. All that you need for a comfortable stay and all as described.
Peter H. from El Paso, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 We've been staying with P to G since 2004 and have stayed in several of their properties. All have been fantastic. Barry and Diane are so easy to work with. And it always seems to dump just after we arrive :)
A guest from Cranbrook, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 We had an awesome time in Whistler! The hotel was in a great location and it had everything we needed. The checking in process was not the best, we were not given the door code and had to wait outside on the phone as there was no one at the front desk. Overall good experience.
Peter W. from Hook, Hants does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2012 Property was excellent in every way other than the location in relation to local roads and the over-zealous snow removal activities which started at 4:30am every morning. Why this was necessary given teh quiteness of the road uin terms of traffic and density of accomodation I don't know. Snow clearers had loud engines and a loud bleeper when in reverse. Even with ear plugs sleep was difficult. The condo is well furnished and in a reallygreat location other than the noise. 5-10min walk to the slopes and righ in the centre of the shops and bars.
Property Manager Response: Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc. Hmmm .Thanks for the notes. We haven't had a complaint about noise at this location - ever. I guess that on the positive side, if there was snow removal going on, that means lots of snow on the mountain. I will pass your comments on to the municipality as they might not know they are disturbing guests so early in the morning. I would be upset if it happened to me on a holiday too. I hope you request a quiet location next time and we will endeavour to make that happen. Manager
A guest from Woldingham, Surrey recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2011 The apartment was clean and well equipped in the kitchen and was difficult to locate the garbage area in the basement and more signage would be useful. We were 6 adults in the 2 bed apartment and so it was quite overcrowded and there were not enough easy chairs to relax in after a day on the mountain. For this reason the accommodation was over priced as the 5th and 6th person paid the same. The hot tub was disappointing as it was situated in rather a dismal was good and hot though.Often there was not enough hot water for everyone to have a shower after skiing. All the staff were very helpful and we had no real problems with the lodge .It was pretty central but still quite a long walk in ski boots to the lifts...we have done ski in ski out before.
Parag V. from Bothell, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2011 The unit was perfect for us. It was very clean and everything we needed was within walking distance. We would love to stay here again!
Property Manager Response: Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc. Thanks for taking the time to comment on this property. The owners take pride in keeping it up to date. In fact, they have since installed a nice new flat screen TV over the fireplace. Barry
A guest from El Paso, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2011 We've been staying in Peak to Green properties in Whistler since 2004. Every stay has been outstanding. Great properties in excellent condition. Management has been super friendly and helpful. I will definitely continue to stay with P to G.
Brian H. from Milwaukee, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2011 Great location. Great service from Peak to Green. The unit was solid. It's probably time for a fresh coat of paint, some new kitchen utensils and an extra living chair for 255. We will be back. Thanks
Alisa B. from Dalton, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2010 never could find the hot tub, come to find out it was in a property across the walkway, so had to leave complex enter another complex and still couldnt locate...
A guest from Scarborough, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2010
Property Manager Response: Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc. Very surprised at the low ratings with no comments to indicate why. The unit has been very well maintained, the location is in the middle of the village close to everything and the rental manager did not interfere with the guest's stay. The rental manager also heard no complaints and there were no problems with check in or check out that we are aware of.
Julie K. from Astoria, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2010 The lodge was great. Everything was great except for the trash removal. Don't know if there's an easier way to remove trash. But otherwise. It's clean and comfortable. Other issue was that the TV cable remote was not working.
Michael V. from PARAMARIBO, SR recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2010 For a family the place is IDEAL. Right in the center of everything, and we can absolutely recommend it to all. A short hike to the ski lifts - a parking space very near elevators, located at the end of the hall, so noisy youngsters or others with heavy skiboots do not disturb at all. Internet, TV, Stereo, everything was great.
Penny R. from Mount Vernon, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2009 We have stayed many places in Whistler, Deer Lodge 255 was another great experience. The condo was well equipped and had enough room for four of us. Located in the Village, it was easy to get where you wanted to go. We did not use the hot tub, so no review on that. Clean, comfortable and affordable - we will stay there again.
Peter H. from Chevy Chase, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2009 I've stayed with barry and p to g 3 times. every time i've been incredibly impressed with the location, cleanliness, and level of appointment of the units. def recommend them without hesitation!
Dan M. from Calgary, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2009 I was generally very happy with the facilities, location, and such. I struggled with a few items like the ski locker, while it was in a very convenient location we could barely squeeze 3 boards in let alone 6 so that made things somewhat difficult. There was also a staircase right beside our unit that was out of order for most of our trip which was very inconvenient. The elevator was a slow and frustrating process and we would happily taken the stairs but 1) you can only walk down them, they were not accessible to go up 2) They were "out of order" for 5 of 7 days. The staff both with regards to booking and with check-in & such were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend the location to others and would definetely like to stay again during future trips but it was quite tight for 6 and it si a lot of money for some people to stay on a pull out couch for several nights.
A guest from Vancouver, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2009 Deer lodge is nosy and poorly constructed. Our showers did not drain, the fuses blew if lights were on in the living room and bath room and we could hear our neighbors every move. Find somewhere else to stay!
Simon D. from Gilbert, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in December, 2008 Deer Lodge is central, #255 is a comfortable 2 bedroom condo. We stayed there from Dec 24 2008- Jan 1 2009. Overall we were very happy with our visit to Whistler, everything was great except for the first impression - which as you know can taint the overall picture. Unfortunately the first impression was the most inefficient check in procedure we have ever experienced. I would not reccomend Peak to Green as a booking agent- you are expected to check in at a different location on Arbutus Drive which is nowhere near Deer Lodge. The day we arrived there the supposed office was vacant and we were told Peak to Green used to be tenants there. We then went to Deer Lodge and they were very helpful at reception but said they could not check in Peak to Green clients. We phoned 3 times and waited for 1 1/2 hours before the rental agent arrived to check us in. We found the agent unhelpful and more concerned about her own Christmas Party than checking us in properly. I would suggest Intrawest delete Peak to Green from their books as their service is detrimental to customer satisfaction. Apart from the rental agent everything else was great and we had a memorable family holiday.
A guest from Arlington, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2008 Overall, the property was great. The only problems that we had were that the walls were so thin that we could hear everything going on in the condos around us and in the hall. Also, we had a leak the last day we were there and maintenance men came in while I was in the shower in order to fix it. All of our clothes in the closet got wet due to the leak, which was unpleasant.
Joanne H. from Schertz, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2008 This years trip has to be ranked as the best ever. The location was perfect for us. We had the convience of walking out the door and having breadfast or any meal at a number of different price ranges. Groceries and Liquor a short walk. Needed a boot doctor, found him on my way back from breadfast and he fixed my aching feet and saved the day. Massage also in walking distance. Used the shuttle bus the first few days but found it actually quicker and more pleasant to walk down the village to the lift at blackcomb. No stairs to go up and down to the bus plus we could walk into any number of places on the way home to rehydrade and watch the parade of people and dogs. All of this being in the midst of things and yet we had total piece and quite at night. Last year we stayed out in the condo area and it was more of a chore to get back after sking that little back trail and they cutting through. This trip was the best vacation ever
A guest from Ipswich, Suffolk recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2008 I've used Peak to Green for a few years now and they?ve become my first choice for accommodation in Whistler. Peak to Greens service has been excellent, always dealing with friendly staff and being able to offer a variety of apartments. Deer Lodge 255 is a modern very well appointed apartment, extremely convenient for the village and within 5-10 mins walk of the gondolas. I have no hesitation in recommending Peak to Green or staying in any of their apartments. I look forward to my next stay with them.
