This is also the perfect time and place for hunting partridge, deer & bear! Our favorite thing to do in the fall is to hike the 2-1/2 miles out to Chapel Rock which has a full view of Lake Superior. On a warm, windy day, the waves of Lake Superior are huge, and encourage brave swimmers! Blueberry picking is another Fall activity we enjoy. Just ask and we will direct you to some great picking areas! The WINTER in the Hiawatha National Forest is unbelievable! The beauty alone will blow you away, with newly fallen snow blanking pine trees creating a white tunnel throughout the forest. Snowmobiling, the biggest draw to the Upper Peninsula in the winter, is spectacular on the many miles of trails that take you through picturesque scenery you can only imagine!
