Nearby you have various forms of traditional commerce, and it is walking distance from the majority of the most popular sightseeing destinations in Lisbon. The Apartment is located very close to Campo de Santa Clara, the square where Lisbon's famous market - Feira da Ladra - is held every Tuesday and Saturday. Close to this area you can visit Panteão Nacional ou called Church of Santa Engrácia with the tombs of historic and literary figures of Portuguese national history (Vasco da Gama or Amália Rodrigues, the famous fado singer). Marvellous view you can enjoy from the rooftop of convent of São Vicente. This district is very beautiful, you can walk through small streets that cross several areas of Lisbon: from Mouraria to Alfama and São Jorge Castle. Taking the famous tram number 28 you will do a scenic route crossing most of the tourist neighbourhoods of the city centre. A definite must for any visitor to Lisbon. In wintertime it is heated with electric heaters.
