Estrella de Paraiso is one of the more enchanting

natural surroundings.

Estrella de Paraiso is a private natural reserve
including 400 acres of forested land.
It has two spacious and well appointed
apartments of new construction available
to travelers who prefer to stay slightly
off the beaten path. At only 5 minutes by car
from Nicoya, and 25 minutes from some of the
best beaches in the country, it offers a good
base from which to explore the surrounding areas.

Located in the center of the warm and sunny
Guanacaste peninsula, Nicoya is a typical small
Costa Rican town, relaxed and friendly, with
traditions of folklore and music. Here the
traveler can find all that he needs in local
shops. There is also a good selection of
restaurants offering typical as well as
international food, at reasonable prices.

at Estrella de Paraiso, where you can
rediscover the grandeur of nature and truly relax.
After only a few days in this tranquil oasis
in the midst of nature, you will surely feel
refreshed and rejuvenated.

During your stay, permanent staff is on
hand to serve you. A guide is at your disposition for hikes in the nature reserve
and for horseback riding. A maid cleans the appartments regularly. Estrella de Paraiso guarantees a warm
welcome and ready assistance to all visitors.

Surrounded by a large private natural reserve,
with a stupendous panoramic view, the apartments
where you will stay are in a hilltop gardan with
exotic fruit trees. A large variety of birds come
here to visit or make their nests. In the
surrounding lands you are sure to see the famous
howler monkeys, but will also see other wild
animals, including deer, opossum, armadillos,
iguanas, and other animals.

The house consists of two independent apartments
of recent construction, in rustic style, with all
wood and brick interiors and exteriors. They are
spacious and best suited for couples, but also have
additional beds to sleep up to 4 persons. Each
apartment has a full kitchen, which is completely
equipped, a living/dining room, bedroom with large
double bed, bathroom with shower and plenty of hot
water. The apartments feature a large veranda from
which you can savor a view over 50 kilometers of
marvellous green hills and the distant Gulf of Nicoya.
There are other outbuildings (cabanas) ideal for being
alone or for relaxing in rope hammocks.

walking tours, horseback riding, beach trips,
visits to nearby national parks (Barra Honda,
Tempisque), surfing (excellent), diving, birdwatching

Horseback riding $20 for 2 hours, riders must have some experience.
