Savannah Beach and Racquet Club is located on Tybee's much sought-after north beach, just 5 minutes from downtown Tybee and 15 minutes east of Savannah.

THE DRIFTWOOD is our beautifully decorated, first floor, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath condo great for a couple or small family. It features tiled floors throughout and a comfortable queen bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

The kitchen area is fully equipped with the basics and then lots of extras. You'll find plenty of dinnerware and cooking utensils for preparing and serving the day's catch. There is a blender, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, and dishwasher for quick clean-ups! We try to have on hand just about everything you'd have in your kitchen at home. Just bring your food and if you need something extra, we'll do our best to get it for you. We want you to have a wonderful vacation and we'll do everything we can to help you do that, just ask!

Your deck overlooks a parking area, the beachfront neighborhood, and a glimpse of the water over the dunes.

There is a TV with cable in the living room, where you'll also find a DVD player along with several movies and CD's you can pop in after a day's sightseeing. There are books to curl up for a nap with or take to the beach for a lazy summer read. There are games to play and a deck of cards for dealing up those special memories you'll always remember.

The bathroom is stocked with plenty of towels and soaps, and include a blow dryer for your convenience. Towels and Linens are provided and coin laundry facilities are conveniently located. There are beach towels, beach chairs, and even pool noodles. So grab your bikini and take that carefree vacation you've been dreaming of all winter!

This is a place to relax, kick your feet up, and let the warm sea breezes carry your everyday worries away. Whether it's from the beach watching spectacular sunrises and sunsets, splashing around in one of the pools, or playing a game of tennis on one of three courts, you'll love your stay at this quiet, gated community. Direct access to the beach is steps away over the dunes. Watch container ships and shrimp boats come and go, dolphins never far behind. Take a stroll and find treasures like moonshells and shark's teeth and take them to the near-by Marine Resource Science Center for identification. (While you're there, don't miss their hands-on exhibits of local reptiles and sealife!)

Savannah Beach and Racquet Club is located in the perfect neighborhood for riding bikes (you can rent them locally) or you can take a walk and admire Tybee's many unique beach houses or visit Georgia's oldest and tallest lighthouse, with it's many historic outbuildings and the adjacent Tybee Museum located at Fort Screven.

There are many great shopping and dining establishments on the island, most of them locally owned, not the large franchises that have have taken over other beach communities. The Crab Shack has been featured on Rachel Ray's show "$40 a day" and was voted "Best Seafood and Best Outdoor Dining" by the readers of Savannah Magazine in 2006. (Check out their alligators and exotic birds while you're there!) Tybee nightlife gets in full swing at Cafe Loco's, located just under the Lazaretto Creek bridge.

Fort Pulaski, with it's large-scale outdoor exhibits, is part of the National Park System and is located just a few minutes drive away. Tour the fort and watch a civil war re-enactment or explore the local wildlife and fauna on it's many trails, perfect for hiking, biking, or walking.

Just a 15-minute drive away is Savannah, one of America's oldest and most beautiful cities. Take a walk down the old cobbled street by the river and enjoy the many restaurants and shops, take a Paula Dean tour or just walk and revel at the many fine mansions, historic monuments and churches that grace Savannah's 20-plus picturesque squares.
