VILLA OVERVIEWSet in a pleasant residential area of villas & apartments, you are just a 5 min drive from the pretty village of Alfaz Del Pi, near to Albir, Altea & close to many golf courses. This mature villa has its own pool & outdoor areas for sunbathing & alfresco dining, there is a large terrace, balcony with pretty mountain views plus a patio area with a HOT TUB - perfect for relaxing in after a BBQ. Inside you'll find the lounge with satellite TV, DVD, CD player plus kitchen with microwave, fridge-freezer, gas hob, grill, electric oven, kettle, toaster, washing machine plus all the cutlery, crockery, pots & pans you'll need. The villa has 3 bedrooms, a family bathroom plus there is a conservatory providing a separate, indoor dining room. It is family friendly with a travel cot, highchair & safety gates available. This is the perfect base for a relaxing & fun holiday as all amenities, beaches, many fun tourist attractions & golf courses on the Costa Blanca are only a short drive away.
VILLA NOTES:
As this villa has some great outside areas, you are likely to spend most of your holiday outdoors enjoying the lovely weather. The pool area is safely separated by a small wall and gate. The main patio area has a lovely table & bench which seats 8 plus the luxury of a HOT TUB! There is separate terrace with a glass table, chairs & 4 sunbeds as well as a spacious balcony with table & chairs. Plus there is a gas BBQ & an outside oven for al-fresco meals. The conservatory is a great indoor dining room & doubles up as a 2nd lounge. The satellite TV has English news, foreign & local programmes plus there is a library of books, DVD's & games in the lounge. An iron, ironing board, clothes airer, hairdryer, vacuum, cold water dispenser, all linen & towels plus fans & air-conditionning (in bedrooms only) are provided. There is also a travel cot, highchair & safety gates available. The villa is non-smoking however you can smoke outside. The pool is not heated but is available for use all year. Change-over day is flexible to suit your requirements and to allow you to take advantage of cheap mid-week flights. Alicante is the nearest airport (only 50 minutes drive to the villa). There are many low cost flights from companies such as Easyjet, Bmibaby, Jet2.com, Ryanair, Flyglobespan, Flybe and Monarch. Plus there is also many charter flights with companies such as Thomson, First Choice, Airtours, Thomas Cook etc as well as scheduled flights with British Airways & Aer Lingus. Alternatively the villa is 1 hr 30 mins from Valencia Airport - serviced by British Airways / Iberia, Easyjet, Jet2, Thomsonfly, Ryanair and Eujet. The check-in time is after 4pm on day of arrival and check-out is 10am on day of departure. Although we provide an accommodation only service, we are happy to assist with your travel plans & recommend car hire/ flight companies. Once your final payment has been made, you will receive a travel pack including directions, key details and other useful information.
LOCAL INFORMATION:
Unwind by the pool & enjoy a BBQ then when you’re ready to go & about, there are lots of places to discover & activites to do. The local village of Alfaz Del Pi is only a few mins drive away and has lovely traditional Spanish bars & restaurants plus many amenities such as supermarkets, shops, weekly market, banks, chemist, health clinic & even a sports centre! The local beach is just 10 mins away at Albir, an attractive seaside resort with a lovely palm lined promenade & a wide choice of cafes & restaurants. Plus the historic town of Altea is close with its mix of quaint, cobbled streets & art galleries sitting alongside its lovely marina & beach. Nearby Benidorm offers lots of watersports on its large beach, bars, restaurants & entertainment. Terra Mitica & Terra Natural theme parks, Aqualandia water park, Mundamar marine park & many safari parks are within easy reach. Plus many activities are available including golf, horse riding, cycling, diving, walking & much more on this stunning part of the Costa Blanca, Spain.
GOLF:
The area around Alfaz Del Pi is a golfer's dream as you will be spolit for choice with 12 fantastic courses in this part of the Costa Blanca region. The Real de Faula Golf Resort near Benidorm is only 20 mins away & features two 18-hole courses designed by Jack Nicklaus with sea & mountain views. The par 72 US-style Championship Course is more than 6,612 metres long. The 2nd 18-hole par 62 course is 3,858 metres long & has been designed to allow all levels of players to enjoy a great golfing experience. The villa is very close to two 9-hole courses - just 10 mins away is the challenging 6735 yards, par 72 Club de Golf Don Cayo near Altea and the par 60, 3278 yard Club de Golf Ifach with its tricky narrow fairways is only 30 mins away at Benissa. To the south, there are another three 18-hole courses around Alicante city - Bonalba Golf Club at Mutxamiel, Alenda Golf Club at Montforte del Cid & the Alicante Golf Club at Playa de San Juan. Plus there is the 9-hole Javea Golf Club close to Javea. North of Alfaz del Pi, around the Denia area are the Club de Golf La Sella at Jesus Pobre & the Club de Golf Oliva at Oliva - both of these are 18-hole courses. Near Valencia are the El Bosque and El Saler Golf Clubs (both 18-holes) as well as a short 6 hole Gandia Golf course - ideal for beginners or anyone wanting quick round of golf. INTERSTING PLACES TO VISIT
The villa is set in a perfect location so you can explore this delightful part of the Costa Blanca. Car hire is recommended to get the most out of your holiday & enjoy the scenic beauty of this part of Spain. Albir is the nearest beach resort with crystal clear sea waters. A 'must' is to take time to walk or cycle the coastal path & marvel at the stunning sea views. Explore the lovely cobblestoned streets & plazas of Altea & admire the whitewashed houses, lively promenade & port. Visit the picturesque fortified village of Guadalest perched high on top of a craggy rock & the beautiful El Algar waterfalls in the mountains behind Altea. The protected natural park of Penon D'Ifach is home to many bird & plant species - follow the trail up to vantage point with one of the best views in the region. Combine this with a visit to the lovely sandy beach at Calpe. Other places of interest are Denia, Javea & Benissa plus don't forget to explore the charming old town of Benidrom.
LOTS OF ACTIVITES
You will be spoilt for choice as there's so much to do! If you enjoy watersports, there are lots of activities in Albir, Altea & Benidorm such as swimming, sailing, fishing, snorkeling & scuba diving. There is a fantastic dive site at Mascarat & a great place for snorkelling is Peacock Island. You can also take a submarine tour of this Island to view the sea life without getting wet, or take a balloon flight in Elche to enjoy an aeriel view of this region. Other activities include a boat trip to Tabarca Island, horse riding, cycling, tennis, golf, spa treatments plus there are lots of interesting walks & amazing views to admire in the Sierra Bernia & Aitana mountain range. Take a trip on the Lemon Express, a charming old train which travels between Alicante & Denia through the orange & lemon groves. Alicante and Valencia have many historical buildings & attractions including cathedrals, parks, beaches. For a spot of retail therapy, visit the local markets & La Marina shopping centre.
FUN FAMILY ATTRACTIONS
Families are well catered for in this area & this villa is ideally located away from the hustle & bustle of Benidorm but is close enough to take advantage of all the tourist activities in the area. The Costa Blanca coastline has many beaches which have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag for cleanliness & safety. Terra Mitcia is a popular theme park based upon ancient civilisations with many thrilling rides whilst Terra Natura is home to over 1,500 animals. For water fun Aqualandia - Europe's largest water park is a must with its many pools, shutes & slides. Mundomar is an exotic marine life & bird park with spectacular shows. There are also a number of safari parks such as Vergel Safari Park, Rio Safari & Safari Aitana. For fun evening entertainment see a wild west show, a flamingo show, or even go to a medieval evening at the Torneo Medieval in Alfaz Del Pi.
