There is a snack bar on the beach for hamburgers, shakes, sodas, snacks, etc and they rent beach umbrellas, boogie boards, etc so you can literally just bring your towels and enjoy the day sunbathing and swimming, or just take a run, walk, or picnic on the beach on a cooler day and watch the surfers challenge the waves. There is a wonderful beach grassy park with picnic tables and grills also. Some people living in this resort community enjoy starting their day walking to Starbucks Coffee.There are day spas at the Ritz Carlton and St. Regis. There is a wonderful golf course at the St. Regis. Both resorts have wonderful restaurants and cafes as well as resort shops. If you've had enough resorty relaxation, you can venture out for a 5 minute drive to Laguna Beach and cruise down Pacific Coast Highway, taking in all the quaint upscale boutiques, cafes, restaurants, art galleries, and many beach coves!
