Morning Mist Cottage is evolving as new renovations to decks, roofs, chimneys and overall beautification ensues. Our cottage has maintained its natural woodland feel but has improved and has all the amenities you desire. Spacious with natural light from skylights the interior cottage is warm and cozy with a wood burning fireplace and oil lamps for yesteryear ambiance. The cedar sauna, seven person hot tub, canoeing, fishing, swimming are just some of activities you will expect to do at Morning Mist Cottage. Located on the South Shore of NS on 62 acres of woodland on Lake Deception and is becoming a destination for regular vacationers.
Morning Mist Cottage has done extensive renovations for the past three years with new roofs, cupolas, stone chimney, patio doors with stain glass and much more. We are better than ever and our guests are coming back for second and third holidays. Guests say we are the best kept secret in NS.

This is indeed a unique spot. The birds are abundant; humming birds are saturating our woods. Our forest of mature hard and soft wood is a master piece in the fall as the colors turn red and gold. Our guests have been honeymooners, families, women's groups, men’s groups and couples wanting to have a weekend away. Our bedrooms with new king and queen pillow top beds will keep you wanting to stay forever. After 15 years without internet service we now have wireless at Morning Mist Cottage!

The joy of staying at Morning Mist is the water which can be a source of adventure. The lake is warm and wonderful for swimming long into the fall and exploring the lake with our two canoes is not only a work out but lots of fun. If the urge to find a beach arises it is only a minute away. We often go to Roseway or the Sand Hills for a walk and return to Morning Mist and the quiet lush woodland and lake.
