Hugely popular before the war in the 1990's, Croatia has now fully recovered and is the place everyone wants to visit this year. It's a step back in time to the Mediterranean as it used to be, an exclusive destination frequented by the rich and famous.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that all this comes with an exclusive price tag, but from only 280 Euros for a week in our apartment, and more and more airlines offering low cost flights, you couldn't be further from the truth!

1. THE VIEW! All rooms (except the bathroom!) boast amazing views of the Adriatic and the mountains beyond. It's hard to believe, but the main photo was taken in February. OK, it was cold, but who cares with a view like that!

2. THE VILLAGE ... The apartment is in Sutivan, a charming fishing village on the island of Brac, one of the most accessible and sunniest islands in Dalmatia. The main centre of Sutivan, with it's distinctive Dalmatian architecture, restaurants, shops and cafes, is only 1km away.

3. EXCELLENT BASE for touring the rest of Brac, the other islands and mainland Croatia.

4. SHORT WALK TO THE BEACH ... Only 300 metres away is a beautiful beach and the crystal clear sea!

5. PERFECT FOR FAMILIES OR COUPLES ... Sleeps up to 6, with a double sofa bed in the living room.

Please note: The gravel road to the apartment is steep in places and may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties or young children.

HOW TO GET THERE ...

The easiest route is to fly into Split airport. From there, it's a 30 minute drive to the ferry port, followed by a 45 minute journey on the car ferry. Finally it's a 10 minute drive from Supetar to the apartment.

Break up the journey by stopping off in Split and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and the famous Diocletian palace.
