It takes place on the last Sunday of every month, apart form July, from Viale Gorizia to the bridge of Via Valenza and it covers a path of almost 2 kilometres along the banks of the Naviglio Grande, the city’s most ancient canal. It monthly gathers more than 380 selected exhibitors, thus standing out as one of the most important events of the sector. The uniqueness of this event is to be ascribed to its location and it boasts approximately 150.000 visitors. The stalls exhibit any kind of antique items and undergo a painstaking selection at every edition. Pieces of furniture, watches, pieces of china, silverware, dolls, games, collectibles, books, spectacles, radios, 30s/50s furnishings, sticks, bronze items, glass, prints, comic-strip magazines, all of them accurately exhibited for visitor, residents and international tourists. During the event all the shopkeepers, as well as all the pubs, restaurants and the several art workshops of the area are open, so as to make the visit to the exhibition even more pleasurable. Flowers along the Naviglio Grande This important exhibition of plants, flowers and garden equipment takes place every year in the month of April along the banks of the Naviglio Grande in Milan. It gathers more than 200 nursery people from all over Italy and several flower growing schools. Each exhibitor is engaged in the scenic arrangement of his/her space, so as to produce a spectacular chromatic effect. The charming and ancient framework of the Naviglio Grande creates a unique visual impact, which makes the visit to this event truly pleasant.
