Julie B. from Dallas, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2015 Enjoyed this perfect location near St. Edward's University for our son's baseball tournament. Enjoyed the beautiful, diverse neighborhood, free public swimming pools nearby and all of the delicious restaurant options Austin offers. Our hostess graciously accommodated our last minute booking. We've stayed in VRBOs across the country and will be back to this one when we travel to Austin! It was spotless with plenty of extra blankets, pillows and towels. Great kitchen set up and easy access to wifi and TV channels.
A guest from Dallas, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2015 Had a great experience- the place was clean, quiet, felt safe- was perfect for a girl's weekend- 4 of us stayed here. Really appreciated the nice touches like coffee in the kitchen, blowdryer in the bathroom- the place was well-stocked and that made life easier! Thought it was perfect for what we needed. The only thing I'd point out is that the driveway was very steep- not a huge problem but was a bit slow going getting in and out.
Susannah D. from San Francisco, California recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 We were in town for Psych Fest and this apartment was perfect! It was literally 5-15 minutes from everywhere we wanted to be, including the venue. The apartment was very clean, the beds were super comfy, soft sheets and soft, fluffy towels. All of which are very important to me. Brooke was great and easy to work with. We didn't see her after being let in initially, but she was just a phone call away! I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Austin!
Kim H. from Brownwood, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 It was a wonderful weekend. The casita was exceptionally clean and private!!! We will be back. It was in great location close to many attractions.
Alexandra U. from Dallas, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2015 We had an amazing stay at the Kenwood Casita! The home was beautiful and quiet. The location was great; we walked to Congress everyday! Talk about a workout :) The icing on the cake would have to be that there was coffee already in the house!! We are unable to function without coffee...
A guest from Mesa, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2015 We enjoyed everything about this rental. The location was great and the management company and their app made the whole experience very esy and enjoyable.
Cathy B. from Coppell, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2015 Perfect place to stay when working out of town.Always clean, everything works the way it should and quite comfortable. Property manager very accessible and always helpful.
A guest from Dallas, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2015 Had a great time staying in Austin at the Kenwood Casita. The property was exactly as described and SPOTLESS when we arrived. It was fully stocked with dishes and a coffee pot.My only complaint would be that the keypad to open the gate was buried behind vines - made it very hard to find in the dark when we arrived.
Property Manager Response: Response from Emerson Guest Properties LLC Thanks Mary! Those vines grow fast in the spring! :-) We'll cut them back again, thank you for letting us know.
A guest from CDA, Idaho recommends this property. Stayed for 18 days in February, 2015 Love the location! Travis heights area is the best place to stay when visiting Austin! We stayed a few weeks while our house was being finished and it had everything we needed!
A guest from Lewes, DE recommends this property. Stayed for 17 days in January, 2015 We had a wonderful time at the Casita. We love the backyard and the full afternoon and evening sun! We spent every morning running up and down the hills on Live Oak....and evenings sipping wine and eating our picnic meals in the backyard! The house is small, easy to keep, well equipped and close to every downtown Austin experience you could ask for!The owner is so immediately responsive to any request that is deemed appropriate! We will be back every winter!
A guest from Kingwood, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2014 Our "mid-century casita" was most comfortable. We found it to be clean with all necessary amenities, including a most comfortable bed, lovely thick towels and plenty of hot water. The wifi served us well, it was well temperature controlled, and our doggies loved romping on the hill, outside. We especially enjoyed being so close to Congress St. and our family off of Lamar, without lots of outside noise. I'd be happy if this unit were available again when we stay in Austin, and would recommend it to anyone needing comfortable quarters in the area.
A guest from Bellingham, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in November, 2014 We loved this place. Such a great location, and a very clean and comfy property. We walked to South Congress many times. The management was professional, very helpful and responsive, even on the weekend. We'd stay here again, no question.
A guest from Austin, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2014 Great rental. Small but we only needed a place to lay our head at night (but definitely bigger than a hotel!) Very nice having a gated driveway. Will absolutely stay again!
Reviewed by: Brad v. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 The unit was exactly what was described. It is a little older than some other places we looked at, but it was clean, well maintained, in a great location and had everything we needed. The shower head was not great, the water came out too hard and it felt like needles on the skin, but we found that in a lot of places in the US.
Linda I. from Houston, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 We had a wonderful weekend in the comfortable Kenwood Casita! Brooke from the management company was great and called me right back after I called her with one question There were many nice gestures such as regular and decaf coffee in the kitchen and shampoo in the shower. The driveway was a little treacherous but the street parking was plentiful. We would definitely stay there again!
A guest from Miami, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2014 We had a wonderful stay at the Kenwood Casita. Our goal was to be located near our daughter, whom we were visiting. This location was ideal for us. When we arrived, things were freshly cleaned. The appointments were fashionable and comfortable. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. We appreciated the coffee, sugar and creamer provided for us. The wireless was necessary for us to answer some work emails, that was also working fine. The TV offered necessary channels, especially to view the NCAA championship basketball games. Everything was in working order. We had a car which we parked in the gated parking. The slope was a little tricky for the model of car we had, just takes a patient driver. Brooke was accomodating with our dates of stay and was available by phone/text to answer questions promptly. We suggested some extension cords and additional mirrors in the bedrooms near outlets, since the bathroom is small, making it a little tight for hairdrying and makeup application. Brooke listened to our suggestion and has probably made this modification for future guests already. Our deposit was returned promptly upon our return home. This was our first experience with VRBO and we would do it again. If we make return trips to Austin we would consider this rental again. For tourists, we recommend a day trip (or a couple of days) to San Antonio. We used the Mega Bus which picked up at the UT campus. Also, the BBQ at Franklins IS WORTH THE WAIT. We arrived around 8:30 am on a beautiful weather day and made friends in line. We got our brisket and ribs around 12:30, just in time for lunch at our daughter's apartment. In the evenings, we had fun at Rainey Street and enjoyed sausage at Banger's. The piano bar on 6th street is a blast!
Michelle S. from Austin, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2014 We had a great time the week we stayed here. The place was perfect and the neighborhood was awesome. We walked to SoCo for diner and I accessed the Town Lake hike and bike trail every morning to run. The management was friendly and quick to respond when we arrived early check in day and allowed us to get in a few hours early. Would stay here again and again.
