Area Description: "Hampstead is an area of Northwest London with a touch of class and a relaxed, countryside feel perfect for families. Hampstead Village is home to some of the city's oldest pubs, and has a range of cafes for afternoon tea, bakeries, patisseries, fishmongers and more. There's a traditional essence to life amid the leafy streets, whilst the centre of the Capital is within very easy reach. It is a very wealthy area, with many celebrities, artists and musicians choosing to settle here in the many stately period homes.
There are theatres, art galleries and museums such as Keats House, the Freud Museum and Kenwood House - a beautiful Regency home with large gardens, and host to a gallery of Vermeer and Rembrandt pieces, and opera every summer. Hampstead Heath, and particularly Parliament Hill at its Southeast corner, has stunning views of the city's skyline from the London Eye to Canary Wharf, as well as the farmer's market every Saturday has fresh produce and artisan foods on offer which makes for a relaxed morning out with the children too.
Heading South you'll find the quaint village of Primrose Hill which sits alongside Regent's Park, the canal and has lots of one-off shops and cafes to enjoy."
