The owner's passion for gastronomy is instantly recognisable when you venture downstairs - to the lower ground at the back of the house - and see the kitchen and huge dining table, which can seat a very large group comfortably. This area leads to a lovely contemporary-styled patio where you can enjoy London's sunny spells in style.
The living room, at the front of the house, has a classic feature fireplace with modern book shelves and a flat screen TV. Upon request, an extra guest could sleep on the huge flat sofa in this room.
The bedrooms, on the first and second floors are equally generous. There are three double bedrooms, two modern bathrooms and one master king-size bedroom with en suite bathroom. The rooms are functional and offer good storage space.
Situated specifically in Brook Green Village - a classified Ã¢â‚¬Ëœconservation area' with many of its homes dating from the 19th century or earlier - guests will enjoy the village feel with neighbourhood restaurants, bars, delicatessen, laundrette and cafes. Kensington Olympia, where many world-class exhibitions are held, is a short walk. Also within walking distance is the Apollo Theatre Hammersmith, famous for pop concerts or, for something unusual, go to Shepherds Bush Market to see a demonstration of London's ethnic diversity, with stall holders, vegetables and provisions from all corners of the world.
For shopping on a large scale, you are about a 5 minute walk from the Westfield, one of Europe's biggest shopping malls with a world ranking collection of designer shops, more than 40 restaurants, a food hall and several cinemas. You're also about a 15 minute walk to High Street Kensington, for a collection of designer and high-street shops.
If you're looking for some green space, Holland Park is less than a 10 minute walk.
You have easy transport links to the rest of the Capital with Shepherd's Bush station (connections on both the Central line and Overground) about a 5 minute walk and Kensington Olympia (on the District line). You'll be able to reach Oxford Street and Covent Garden in less than 20 minutes.

There is a choice of riverside eateries to explore, including The Dove pub, which was frequented by Ernest Hemingway and Graham Greene or The Crabtree which has a terrace overlooking the Thames and is popular in the summer months with people enjoying a Pimm's and the splendid views.
There are many other restaurants in the area, as well as boutique shops and cafes, or head to the Farmer's Market at Lyric Square on a Thursday for fresh products.
