Simple Gifts review
Gary B. from Abingdon, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2016 Nice place to stay and very quiet. t must really be nice in the winter as it is close to the ski places. My grandsons loved the pool and the loft they slept in. Property was very well maintained.
Reviewed by: Holly B. recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2016 Great location close to all of the area attractions.Resort was great for the kids. In addition to swimming pool they had sports equipment room to use tennis rackets, minature golf, volley ball, etc... Cabin was well stocked with dishes, cooking pans, even a slow cooker. My only complaint was there was a Keurig for coffee instead of a coffee pot and we did not plan for that. Our cabin was also missing the swing that many of the other cabins had.
A guest from Enid, OK recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2016 The cabin said it could sleep 7, but the living room was too tight to pull out sleeper sofa. We tried to just put the mattress on the floor, but the mattress was too bad to sleep on.
A guest from Washington, DC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2016 We really enjoyed Simple Gifts over the MLK Jr. weekend. It was very convenient to both Timberline and Canaan Valley ski areas. The home was very neat, clean, and cozy. It was perfect for two couples. The house had \snow shovels as well as salt, which were helpful. However, it was difficult to get our 2-wheel drive cars out of the driveway after it snowed. I would recommend traveling here in a 4x4, as the driveway was steep as were some of the roads going to the house. Also, it is helpful to know that the house has a Keurig. The property management company was very helpful and responsive, and were able to grant us a late check out.
Tyler W. from Cocoa Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2016 This was a perfect cabin for what we were looking for! Had everything from all cooking and kitchen necessities to washing machine! Perfect location for skiing at timberline and Canaan ski resort! All 7 of us Absolutely loved it!
A guest from Washington, DC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2015 Wonderful experience. The Best of Canaan team was responsive, helpful, and welcoming. The cabin was in excellent condition, was warm and comfortable, and fit our needs for a group of 6 friends. Ten minute drive to the slopes. If I find myself going to Timberline again for skiing, I will definitely try to stay here again.
Bhargab C. from Cockeysville, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 We rented the simple gift for the 4th of the July weekend, the cabin was cosy and perfect for two families. It was clean and all the amenities were present. The kitchen was super and had some seasoning and sauces from the owner in the kitchen cupboard. The location is amazing between Cannan Valley and the town of Davis.
A guest from Belington, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 We enjoyed a long weekend stay. The surrounding area offered many family activities. The cabin was nice for our family. However, there was a few spots of mold around the fireplace and the grill was dirty. However, I would recommend this to others. I can see us staying again. Booking was easy and we enjoyed ourselves.
