TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM AIRPORT:

? The rate is US $35 one way for 4 passengers. There is room for up to 6 passengers with suitcases per taxi. US$5 extra per passenger.
? You pay the driver directly and keep his number for future transportation needs during your stay.
ELECTRICITY IS EXTRA AND BASED ON CONSUMPTION:
? The Dominican Republic is a developing country and it has it's challenges in regards to cost effective electricity distribution. Therefore, to encourage renters to conserve electricity during their stay, they will be responsible for electricity charges during their stay.
? We collect an ELECTRICITY DEPOSIT IN CASH UPON ARRIVAL. It is just a DEPOSIT, real consumption calculated at the end of your stay and deducted from the CASH DEPOSIT PAID UPON ARRIVAL. See deposit requirements below.
? Normal consumption is $5-10 per day for a 1 & 2 bedroom, $10-$15 per day for a 3 & 4 bedroom and $25-$30 for Villas in Cocotal Golf.

The electricity meter will be read at check-in and check out. The meter can be self monitored daily. You will be charged at the current rate and deducted from the cash deposit. The difference will be returned to you on the day of departure.

Fantastic Beach Vacation!

While there are no amenities on the property, there is a fantastic restaurant at the end of the street right on the beach that serves breakfast, lunch and great drinks. Also very close to a small shopping center that has a great restaurant,fun bar, market, bakery. The condo was spectacular. One of the nicest places I've ever stayed (and I've stayed in a lot of nice places!)
Jim G. from Humboldt, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 29 days in February, 2016 We enjoyed our stay at Beach Residency. The staff was very responsive and helpful. The location was an easy walk to BAM market and several restaurants, Citrus being the best. B-6 is on the third floor and no elevator. Drinking was is available in the local stores but the best source is to get it from the staff. For a few $ they will bring 5 gal. Bottle to your unit. The bar on the beach is very accommodating and has a good lunch. As a customer you can use the loungers. The local club is very loud but they close at 11 pm.The pool is nice and a good way to rinse off salt. They have a separate shower for rinsing off sand. We had as many as 5 adults and never felt crowded. Had a problem with mosquitos but staff responded with insecticide very quickly. A lot of the screens don't fit very well but overall the mosquitos weren't much of a problem. For groceries definitely have the driver stop at the supermarket. You can also ride the local bus to the Super Polo Market for a few pesos.

The listing was very accurate in terms of appearance, amenities, and location. The property is beautiful. It's literally a 2 minute walk from the beach. 5 minute walk to the nearby grocery store, and there's a great authentic Dominican restaurant at the end of the block. Every room is equipped with an AC unit, but we only ran ours at night to sleep and took advantage of the nice cross-breezes at night. We had no problems with the unit and the rental company was very responsive any time we reached out. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 14 days in January, 2015 The unit was everything the pictures showed it to be.The unit was beautiful and had lots of room.The roof top was great with chairs for sun bathing or an area for sitting in the shade. The bed rooms are large and nicely furnished.The living room is plenty spacious with a large TV and DVD player. The kitchen is a little small compared to the rest of the unit . The owner could use some utensils . A plastic spatula for the fry pans. And a water picture container or 2 to pour the Five gallon water bottles into for serving . This unit is within 350 feet of the Ocean!!! Talk to the other tenants in the other units . They can help you with where to shop from dinning to alcohol to groceries. You can get water jugs at the green bldg store across the street at the end of the road . 50 to 55 pesos for a jug . The Alaska container has to be exchanged @ the super polo or Alaska bottling company about 6 blocks past the super polo threw the stop lights and past Don Locas cigar factory . . Its 32 pesaos @ their site . We had a great time while we were down there and look forward to going back next year.
