Nice Break on the Water
katherine h. from Lafayette, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2016 Rental keys were easy to pick up, although not until after 4 PM. Property was well-kept but not squeaky clean and there were some cosmetic repairs that would improve. Location was great - quick walk to the beach, good food next door, and great view of the channel. Our only major complaint was when all the smoke alarms decided to go off at once for no reason, we had to remove all the batteries to make them stop. Management was good about coming out that day to repair.
A guest from Carrollton, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2016 Exactly as described. Location was perfect for us on a short stay. For the price the property was everything we could have asked for.
Absolutely worth it... One of the best vacations we had.
A guest from Fort Worth, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2015 Couldn't find a better place, fully loaded apartment; close to best clean beaches;Perfect for vacation w family n friends!!Close to other area where u can go for para sailing, jet skiing, fishing etc. This is the place if I'm going back to Corpus Christi.
Samantha P. from Lytle, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 We stayed in the condo for 3 full nights. It was very homey and the residents were very pleasant. My daughter loved the pool and I loved the fishing opportunities. Definitely would book again. Padre Escapes the management company were amazing. We had the fire alarm go off for no obvious reason and they sent someone immediately to us to fix the problem. It never happened again during our visit.
Scott H. from San Angelo, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in April, 2015 Having stayed at this location before, we were excited at the promises that it would offer us on this visit. The Condo is a great place to stay. It is clean and well maintained. We loved the fact that it is located on Lake Padre with a place for our boat. Lake Padre is connected to the Packery Channel which is open to the Gulf and the Bay and easy navigation either direction. For a boat owner, the lake offers a well-protected place for the boat to stay in the water. The Condo has a great dock which allows for some great fishing. Anything can be in the lake that is in the gulf. Depending on the time of the year, the offering of fish from the lake is great. The location of the Condo is great. Being on the island offers quick access to the beach and other local features. Within 20 miles from Port Aransas, and 15 minutes to almost any location in the Corpus Christi area. The neighbors are great. There are many permanent tenants in this location, and they invited us to a big seafood boil. We met many of them. One is a great offshore fishing guide, and another was a service manager for a local boat maintenance shop. Another tenant helped us carry our items downstairs when we were packing up to leave. I cannot say enough about this great location. I highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants to relax in a great location.
Property Manager Response: Response from Padre Escapes, LLC Great to hear you had such pleasant stay your 2nd time around. Looking forward to having you back.
Joe T. from San Antonio, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014 The location of the rental is centrally located. You can walk to the beach or take a short drive to Padre Island National Seashore. The rental is tucked away from all the traffic, but is next to a restaurant/bar...Thur-Sat can be a little loud...you can hear the conversations when people are on the bar balcony. The rental is very clean and does have all the little things you may forget at home. Its VERY convenient to have a washer/dryer within the condo. There are a couple of safety items: The stairs leading up to condo are going to collapse one day...they are not properly secured/constructed...they sway as you walk on them. The water temperature in the condo is TOO hot. It has to be over 140 deg F at point of use...recommended temp is 120-125. At 140+, scalding is likely within seconds. Also, when water temp is high, you have thermal expansion...meaning the pressure in the water tank goes up...this tank does not have an expansion tank installed to absorb the pressure. If this property has a pressure reducing valve shall have an expansion tank. Water temp and stairs are a safety hazard.
A guest from New Braunfels, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 Overall the stay was wonderful, however the parking lot was very small and had limited slots. We had difficulty parking our large truck. Also, the AC unit stopped cooling during the night, did not cool below 80 degrees. Otherwise, the condo was wonderful, location was great, great fishing on location off the pier.
Property Manager Response: Response from Padre Escapes, LLC Glad you guys enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the A/C issue, the saltwater is hard on the A/Cs over there. Since your stay we've gone in and replaced the compressor so it will be working very well for you next visit.
