Great location for the avid fisherman/woman Dunja B. from Redmond, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in October, 2015 There aren't many cabins for rent on Fishlake, so we were happy to get one at all. With that said, there is nothing wrong with the cabin, its clean and comfortable and the grounds are very beatiful. BUT..there are a few items that would be nice if they would be fixed/upgraded. The BBQ does not get hotter than 300 degrees which makes it tough to BBQ, the TV and soundsystem is not wired correctly and there are 8 remotes, we could not figure out how to get the TV and sound going, the bed situation could be a little bit upgraded by having at least one King bed for the taller/bigger people. Overall though its a prime spot on the lake and the cabin has everything you need for a nice weekend stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc. Happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Bear's Den on Fish Lake and were able to appreciate the natural beauty of the area. We apologize for the BBQ and will definitely get someone out their ASAP to check on the heating as well as the TV and sound. We will make a suggestion to the owner as to a larger bed in one of the rooms. We do hope you will consider coming back as a return guest!
Great place for a weekend getaway!! Srini A. from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in October, 2015 This is an amazing place for a fall weekend trip!! The scenic beauty of Washington is breathtaking and this location captures it perfectly!!
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc. Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to the Bear's Den. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the natural beauty of our mountains and took some time to relax. We encourage you to come and visit the area with us again!
Oasis on Fish Lake Debbie S. from seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in August, 2015 This was our second visit to the Bear's Den on Fish Lake and we couldn't have been happier. We simply didn't want to leave. For summertime visitors with kids, I recommend bringing yard toys and possibly a slip - n- slide. The hill in the back is perfect for such. Also, there aren't any yard toys, so I'd recommend bringing some as well as floatees for the lake.
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc. Thank you for telling us about your stay to the Bears Den! We love hearing from our return guests and do hope to see you plan a third trip to visit the area.
Best vacation rental! Ioana S. from Renton, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in August, 2015 We had such a wonderful time! The cabin is lovely, the views are fantastic, everything about this place is perfect! This was our third time staying here and I am planning on coming again every year. This is a wonderful place for vacation any time of the year, but spectacular during the winter when everything is covered in white snow, and in the summer, when you can fish, swim, and enjoy the lake. I highly recommend it.
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc. We love hearing back from our return guests! We are thrilled to hear that you make visiting the Bear's Den and annual trip. We definitely look forawrd to having you and your family come back and see us again next year!
No BBQ Jeremy F. from Wenatchee, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in July, 2015 Overall experience was great. Clean, very comfortable beds and couches. The real unsatisfactory thing was that the BBQ did not work. We had several dinners planned using it and for what we paid EVERYTHING should be working. I called and spoke to someone from the rental company and they were very nice and told me someone would be out to repair it, it didn't happen. Very disappointing. Everything else as they described - two of the screen doors need repair.
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc. Thank you for telling us about your stay to the Bear's Den! We are glad you were able to relax and enjoy the home. We do have to apologize for the issues with the BBQ. We were able to get a new grill purchased and brought to the home. We will note the screen doors in need of repair. Otherwise we do thank you for enjoying your stay despite the mishaps. We hope you will be willing to come and visit with us again.
July fourth Rick R. from West Richland, Washington recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 Great cabin. This was our second year here, and we have already signed up for next year. The cabin has everything we are looking for. Plenty of space, nice yard, and the lake. Could use a few repairs, the front door is not working and needs to remain open, as it does not close. The screen door on the balcony has several holes, letting bugs get in, and the downstairs sliding doors, don"t even have a screen door. We will continue to rent this cabin on the Fourth of July, because of the peace and quiet.
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc. Hi Rick!
Thank you for telling us about your visit to the Bear's Den! We are so glad you were able to enjoy your trip and we will be sure to discuss replacing those screens as well as checking out that door. We are so happy to have you again and are looking forward to having your family next year!
Summer Getaway A guest from Port Angeles, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in June, 2015 We enjoyed our stay. The location and the views of the lake were very peaceful and serene. The property was clean, however there were various minor maintenance fixes (loose toilet seats, non-working blinds, broken screen door on sliding door) that could be done that would make a persons stay even more enjoyable. Those aren't big fixes but they do go a long way toward making people comfortable. Another thing that would have been helpful would be air conditioner on the main living level (there is one on the top floor.) While we were visiting temperatures were in the high 90's and all of the main living areas were exceptionally hot.
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc. Joshua,
Thank you so much for telling us about your stay at the Bear's Den! We are so glad you enjoyed the home and the lake. We will have our handyman head out and check on fixing the issue you mentioned to help make any future stays more comfortable as well as checking in with the owner on getting another air conditioner for the main living area. We look forward to having you come and stay with us again in the future.
Great Place For The Groom! Luis B. from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in June, 2015 I chose this property to stay at before my big day. It was great! Got the rest I needed. It had everything we needed and more! Thank you Comfy Cabins for detailed directions.
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc. Luis,
We are so glad you chose one of our homes for the night before you big day! Getting married is such an exciting time and a little rest and relaxation beforehand I am sure was much appreciated. We do hope you will come back and visit with us again.

Stayed for 3 days in June, 2015 We had a great time on the lake. Fished every day. 3 of the days were pretty windy so we didn't get a chance to use the fire pit. We did have a beautiful morning that was like glass-great fishing, took my paddle board out- it was wonderful. The house is comfortable, plenty of space and the play structure was a bonus for the kids.
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc. Angela,
Thank you for taking time to tell us about your stay to the Bear's Den. We are happy to hear you made the most of your trip despite the few windy days. And we love hearing that your kids enjoyed the little play ground for some added fun. We do hope you will come and visit with us again.

Our Stay at the Bear's Den Jesse A. from Mukilteo, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in August, 2014 We took our seven and three year old Grandsons to Fish Lake for the last week of August; one last adventure before school started. The weather was perfect and the earlier eastern Washington wildfires were contained and nearly out, so there was neither smoke nor smell from the fires. Bear's Den is a comfortable, welcoming space that met our needs wonderfully. The boys loved the well kept huge sloping lawn and the jungle gym playground equipment, but their favorite was the spiral staircase from the main floor to the basement where we watched DVDs on the very large TV before bed. Fish Lake had its late summer algae bloom in full swing with the water an emerald green soup but there was no bad smell from the water and the fishing was fun with several Large Mouth Bass caught from the boat dock. We will definitely return to Bear's Den for future adventures at Fish Lake!
Fishing & relaxing Dream Lisa G. from Olalla, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 9 days in August, 2014 This was a very nice cabin. We were very happy with all the amenities. The use of the Private boat lunch was an unexpected delight. Having a private dock to park the boat for use anytime was awesome.
Bears Den Late July Stay A guest from Bothell, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in July, 2014 Comfortable Stay. Lower level was cool in the summer heat. Top level had AC so was tolerable. Middle level got a little hot. Spent most of our time while at the cabin on deck, lower patio or on the lawn. Convenient to everything. Did some hiking and fishing. Everyone had a lot of fun.
Relaxing!!! Brenda W. from Lake Stevens, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in July, 2014 This cabin was so amazing and everything we needed for our vacation.. Quiet and secluded but, close enough to a The cove store to stock up on Worms for fishing as needed. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with all the appliances you would need. They even have a waffle maker! Yum!!! Make sure to bring your own spices as they really only had salt/pepper. One suggestion would be a better list of what the house is stocked with so that it makes it easier to pack and plan meals ahead of time. We will stay here again soon.
Fourth of July retreat Rick R. from West Richland, Washington recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 Excellent cabin and property. We loved it, and are planning to spend next year at Bear's Den. Great customer service by the staff at Comfy Cabins.
Bears Den long weekend Kevin K. from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 Had a nice time at Bear's Den over a 3 night stay. Great for having your fishing boat tied up to the dock right in front of the cabin. Nicely appointed and supplied cabin.
Quite Cabin lizabeth s. from puyallup, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in December, 2013 Very quite. Great view of the lake. The only thing is the parking is so far away. Its a job to get all luggage and supplies down a slippery snowy hill. Beds comfortable and all was clean. Great fire pit. We had a great weekend>
Christmases 2013 Stephen S. from Cedar Park, Texas recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in December, 2013 Very nice overall. Two things. .. Since the cabin dies not have a fireplace. .The fire ring outside is important to those of us that cherish a good fire. Having some wood and chairs would be nice.
Cozy Cabin Elizabeth H. from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in December, 2013 We had a very nice experience in the cabin. The views were beautiful and the cabin was well equipped and cozy.
Cozy! Scottie H. from Bellevue, WASHINGTON recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in December, 2013 There were 8 of us. The place is not too big and nice location. About 30 mins to Leavenworth. We love its location since it is next to Fish Lake and some of us went ice fishing. One thing about this place is the stair was not very easy to walk on. We had a pregnant woman tripped while walking down the stairs. Thank God she was ok
Bear's Den Getaway Stephen C. from Bellevue, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 Had a nice time.Strange layout to place with a number of light switches that we couldn't figure out. Also was missing a hot water kettle.
Bears Den A guest from Bellingham, Washington does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 There were tons of fruit flies in the cabin when we arrived, we had to purchase bug spray. You couldn't even talk in the kitchen. The exhaust fan was covered in them. Sadly each morning we were woke up by the sound of rodents scattering around in the kitchen. We enjoyed the peaceful setting, but I don't feel it is a good value for what we paid.
Property Manager Response: Response from NW Comfy Cabins Inc Jennifer, I am so sorry that you were dissatisfied with your visit to the Bears Den, as this is the first we have heard about fruit flies or rodents.. I am a calling the exterminator now. I so wish you would have called us while you were on site as we could have most definitely been able to move you to a different property. This is not the experience we hope our guests have while staying at any of our Comfy Cabins, so I would like to extend a discount of 50% off a future 2 night visit to the Bears Den (no holidays/festivals) so as to change your opinion and ensure your confidence that your experience with us is most important. I do hope you will take advantage of this discount and I will give you up to 1 year to use it. Warmly, Jeanie
Bear's Den Review Sept 2013 Patti M. from Edmonds, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in September, 2013 Wonderful 4 days in a beautiful location. Lots of wildlife and a great lightning storm that lit up the sky for about 2 hours! A few minor items: kitchen hand towels need replacement, they are very worn. I bought the cabin a new pan scrubber, the old one was disintegrating, should have been replaced by cleaning team.
Quiet Solitude at Fish Lake Barbara C. from Perris, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in September, 2013 This was our 2nd time at Bears Den. We look for quiet and privacy at our vacation places and Bear's Den meets those needs. It's about 30 min from Leavenworth so stock up on cooking items if you don't want to travel that far to eat out. Beds are comfy and floor plan works well. Downstairs bath is small so we mostly used the upstairs bath. Washer & dryer supplied which is great for long stays. The kitchen is only stocked with salt, pepper & sugar. It would be nice if there were some basic items such as mustard,BBQ sauce, foil and plastic wrap. With us flying in from CA, it's inconvenient to not have those basic necessities. The area is extremely quiet so may not be suitable for large family gatherings or parties. We will definately visit again.
A relaxing time at the cabin Mark B. from Lynnwood, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in August, 2013 Our family - Dad, Mom, three daughters, granddaughter, mother-in-law, and dog - spent a week at Bear's Den in August 2013. Our goal was to relax and enjoy each other's company, in a comfortable, quiet, scenic place, and Bear's Den had all those qualities and more. Being a three-story structure we tended to spend most of the day either inside on the same floor, or outside on the balcony - that sometimes made it a tight fit with three young children running around. But we did want togetherness. In the evening with kids off to bed we played board games and listened to the outside noises...owls and loons. I least I think they were loons. The grounds are just right for a family, with a lawn sloping to the lake and dock. We'd brought a canoe and several times went out on the lake (be careful in the afternoons - it is windy on the water). There was plenty of sunshine, and plenty of space to be together or to be alone. The neighbors were quiet - we only saw them once - and the lake was by no means busy. There are many places nearby to hike, bike, shoot or do whatever, and if you feel like horseback riding there are a couple of options nearby. And the kitchen - which turned out to be the heart of the place for our purposes - accommodated several cooks working concurrently.Problems? We had washer or dryer (don't remember which) fail during our stay and the management company handled it quickly and well. No other problems.Everyone loved the place, and we couldn't have asked for a better value. We plan on doing it again in the next 2-3 years.
Bears Den A guest from Eugene, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in August, 2013 Great time. The only disappointment was no hot was mentioned in paperwork and we expected to use one. Otherwise, it was roomy, and comfortable and the deck was great.
Overall a nice place to stay. David H. from Everett, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 Located right on the water is always a plus. Very clean, easy access to the water, family movie night in the TV room is fun especially with the nice sized TV. If you ignore the watered down bottles of hand soap, the futon that is broken, a few burned out light bulbs you will need to replace yourself when you arrive, it's a very nicely kept property. I had to repair the dishwasher's broken soap dispenser door myself, so that works like it should now. We also enjoyed watching meteors at night while laying on the dock. We will stay there again next year.
A Wonderful Place for Children Larry & Susan K. from West Richland, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in August, 2013 We stay at Bear's Den every year with all our grandchildren. Croquet and badminton on the lawn, peals of laughter swimming off the dock, and plenty of hungry fish. Joy abounds.
Lovely house and property A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 The property was in a beautiful, beautiful location right on fish lake. It was very nice overall with a great deck and dock area. I was particularly nice for summer, so we could enjoy the outdoor space, but might feel a bit cramped in winter. The downstairs bedrooms were lovely. We only had 4 people so no one stayed upstairs, but it would have been fine as long as you understood it was one big space rather than 2 separate bedrooms. Overall i thought it was a great house and am looking forward to going back sometime soon. The only thing missing was some outside lights on the downstairs deck, where the grill and dining table are.
Fish Lake - Bears Den Cabin A guest from Edgewood, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 Not a bad place to stay at all. Great location as long as you can tolerate gale force winds after 11:00 am in the morning. Cabin has a cool layout. The kitchen area is a little awkward with slanting ceilings but we acclimated. We'd come back for sure. For a weekend get-a-way it's hard to pick it apart.
Bears Den Matthew H. from Grand Coulee, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 The Cabin was clean and spacious. The cabin overall needs some work and upkeep. The furniture on the deck and main floor was broken when we arrived. Many of the lightbulbs were burnt out. The dishwasher, washer and dryer did not work properly and need maintenance. The decking also needs to due to splinters and exposed screws. All this in mind, we did have a good time but were let down at the overall condition of the property.
Great place to stay A guest from Des Monines, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 We have rented this place several times and love being able to walk down to the dock and get in our boat.
We will be back! A guest from Monroe, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 Great location, private setting, and beautiful view of the Fish Lake. House was very clean and a well-stocked kitchen (plates, utensils, pots, pans, etc.)
Sweet getaway for family A guest from Renton, Washington recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 The house is very nice, suitable for vacation with small kids. It is located right on the waterfront, so fishing is great, but you need to keep an eye on your little ones constantly. The nature and views are just gorgeous and relaxing.
