Retro Riverside Retreat is a "retro," yet very comfortable, and enjoyable getaway. The cabin is nestled on low bank Wenatchee River front, and offers your very own private sandy beach. Sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably, private hot tub, propane grill and peaceful environment make this a fantastic relaxing retreat. Please note there is a neighboring property to the south of the Retro Riverside Retreat.

The "Retreat's" main floor master bedroom offers you a queen bed, with sliding glass door that leads out to your own private covered hot tub and deck. Listen to the song of the river as you drift off to sleep, or while enjoying a nice relaxing soak in the hot tub. Upstairs you will discover an open loft area with a queen-size bed, and a double futon that is just right for those kids with a couple of sleeping bags, and it also has its own covered lanai to stargaze from, or listen to the peaceful lull of mother natures song. A second bedroom, also upstairs, has 2 full beds and can sleep 4 comfortably.

The large picture windows in the living/sitting area embrace the beautiful view of the Wenatchee River, and the mammoth pines and evergreens along the shores of the river. Watch the local osprey dive for their afternoon lunch, or the salmon make their run to the spawning grounds during the spring/summer season. Your very own private sandy beach, is just the right place to plant your lawn chair and grab that book you can never seem to finish, or grab the camera and watch the children splash with glee in the crystal clear water. What more could you ask for?

Winter is just as alluring with the crackle and warmth of the wood stove in the living room enhancing the atmosphere of the cabin, and making it a picture perfect opportunity to enjoy a movie, and feel all "comfy" and "cozy" during your getaway. Fully functional, and equipped kitchen is stocked for your every need, and has a great breakfast bar to gather round while enjoying your morning bagels and coffee, or a hearty "campers' baths with showers on the main floor round out this comfortable floor plan at your "retro" getaway. Excellent get-away vacation.
Richard P. from Arlington, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014
We were able to enjoy the city of Leavenworth, fishing at Fish Lake, some good music at a neighboring resort and some very relaxing evenings by the river. Was an excellent three day getaway. Will definately plan for a larger gathering of family in the future.

Once we arrived at the cabin, we didn't leave for the whole weekend! Enjoyed the hot tub, sitting by the river and hanging out in the cabin. Would do it again!

Quiet, Peaceful Getaway
A guest from Bellingham, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in May, 2014
A very nice home away from home. Has everything you need to have a great time. Quiet and peaceful. The beds leave something to be desired but if you can pretty much sleep on anything you won't have any problems. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog with us and we will definitely be back for a visit.

Serene and peaceful
A guest from Minneapolis, MN recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in May, 2014
Retro Riverside Retreat was a great escape. It is a spacious cabin with a great kitchen. The drive to get there was just a little long. I would have like a few more written instructions for things like garbage and recycling. The company corresponded by email which wasn't ideal while I was there because of no email access. It is also nice not to have to have info only by email when I go to get away from it all!

More than "Retro"
Mike M. from Pasco, WA does not recommend this property.

I dont normally do these but for the price I thought I would! First the location and view is amazing you can't beat it, however upon arrival the cabin was really pretty dirty, Starbucks cup with lipstick on the counter, cobwebs in many of the corners and on most lamps and fans, floors had dead spiders in the corners and DO Not look under the bed, my son's toy rolled under and I was discussed by it, the hot tub speakers and stereo don't work nor does the stereo inside. To top it all off you can't fish anywere on the river in your backyard! Overall just needs to be updated really bad

Beautiful backyard view
A guest from Richland, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in March, 2014
Awesome relaxing view from the back porch of the river. Hard to find even with directions. home worked good for our needs and fairly good price. nice having hot tub, but controls don't work. do need some updates on pots, pans, cookie sheets. very limited cell service for us (att). heating was frustrating as no temperature control and actual room upstairs gets cold when door closed, and with someone in the other open loft bed, you have to close door for privacy.

Riverside is right!
A guest from Kirkland, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014
We enjoyed sitting in a hot tub maybe 30 feet from the river while a heavy snow was falling around us! The place was clean and basically everything in the place was operational. The cabin had most of what we needed for our stay. If there's a lot of snow, have a capable vehicle as not all the roads on the way to the cabin were plowed. Our biggest complaint was that the bed in the first floor bedroom wasn't as comfortable as we would have liked, but we are used to a very nice mattress at home. It wasn't that bad, though. If you're staying here, you're going to a cabin. I think you should expect at least some level of "roughing it." We'd stay here again.

Great location
Krystle P. from Langley, Washington recommends this property.

Hot tub on the river was the best part. Bring firewood because the heaters don't heat the house well and there's a lot of tile, which gets very cold. Very nice property overall though.

Sweet little cabin in the woods
A guest from Shoreline, Washington recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013
We arrived at the cabin at night, and it was difficult to find. The directions don't have mile markers, which would have been very helpful, since GPS does not work out there. Overall, we had a really nice stay. We cranked all the heaters and it ended up getting plenty warm (we were concerned about the previous reviews comment regarding enough heat). There are some quirks about the home that would be good to know upon check in... like the cold and hot water are reversed in the kitchen sink and the shower. We were worried for a minute that there wasn't any hot water until we figured it out. My husband liked how secluded the cabin was, however for me it felt really deep in the woods and too far out of the way from anything. The hot tub was a really nice feature. It is a simply beautiful view over the river. I would definitely recommend this place for an affordable getaway. It is not luxury, but it is a sweet little home once you settle in. The customer service was quick to respond and helpful.

We all had an amazing time they orange poles really helped to find the place! Overall we loved it the only down side to it was they weren't enough heaters for the cabin specially with that kind of weather other then that we will deff. be coming back!

Not so great!
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013
Overall experience staying at this cabin was good because of beautiful location right next to the river, but property management company professional and the property furniture were not. First of all, we called to the property manager many times and left the voicemail, and nobody replied to us even next day. We locked the door accidentally and forgot keys inside the cabin while being in the hot tub. so imagine being half naked in the cold weather outside...thanks god the car was open with the cell phone there..but it even did not help us, as the property manager did not answer we managed to find the extra key to the cabin! Second, the furniture fabrics stink! a lot! I could not sleep because of the smell of the blankets and if you are coming to this cabin, take your own beddings!

Retro riverside Retreat

We had a terrific stay at the cabin. It was very quiet and secluded, comfortable and clean on the inside, and the pictures on the website don't really capture the beauty of this place! It's a stones throw from a very picturesque point of the river and the hot tub sits just next to it. We were very pleased with our overall experience and will definitely be staying here again!

This truly is an ideal location to relax and unwind. The view is unbeatable as is the quiet and solitude of the location. The property could use some TLC and would really benefit from a good deep cleaning but we loved it.

Not private, not clean, responsive staff
A guest from Bellevue, WA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 1 days in August, 2013
There is a neighbor in close proximity that really should be mentioned in the listing descriptions. While the riverside location is delightful, it was a lot less private than the listing description led us to believe before our arrival. Not a deal breaker, but wish we knew. The deal breaker was how dirty the cabin was when we arrived. To be clear - we fully expected the "retro" furnishing in exchange for the lower price tag, but there were cookie crumbs on the coffee table, dust everywhere, a stained towel in the clean pile and a BBQ grill that looked like a health hazard. All that while we were explicitly charged a cleaning fee. We ended up leaving the cabin in disgust. One positive was that Denise was prompt and responsive when we called to tell her the situation and that we're leaving. She tried her best to convince us to stay, even offered a different cabin, but we just wanted to go home and take a shower by then. After asking us to explain in detail the concerns we had with the cabin, she sent us a full refund promptly as we requested.Honestly, if the cabin was just clean, we'd happily enjoyed our stay, we might even want to stay a good week since the cabin has everything necessary. I sincerely hope that the management of the cabin will take note and give the cabin a thorough cleaning that it deserves.

Vacation on the Riverside
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013
We had a wonderful time. The cabin was easy to find. We were able to sit on the back porch and watch ducks and people float by as well as watching and listening to the river. It was very relaxing. The hot tub arrangement needs to be improved. It was too tall to get into. The step and porch were too low and the step was fairly narrow and unstable. It needs a taller sturdy ladder/steps. The place was generally clean, although there were many dozens of dead fruit flies on the window sills and there was an accumulation of dust on the end table. The motion sensor front porch floodlight didn't work. The ground floor bed was very uncomfortable. The living room sofas were very low and hard to get out of. After we arrived there was a sign indicating that no shoes were allowed on the carpet. Fortunately we had brought slippers. I have plantar fasciitis and can't walk in sox. It had a nice kitchen and was easy to prepare meals. The bathroom was nice and had a good shower. To sum it up, we had a wonderful time. You have to remember it is a cabin in the woods and you can't have everything you have a home.

Riverside summer fun
A guest from Gig Harbor, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Riverside Retro Retreat. The location was fabulous.Everything inside was clean when we arrived, but I was a little disappointed by the condition of the backyard (facing the river) in that it had not been tidied up after the last renters left. The propane grill also was a mess. Otherwise, we had plenty of everything eight people would need.As well, we were unable to vacuum because the bag was full to the point of bursting and there were no replacements. The kids probably enjoyed this cabin the most and we were lucky that the neighbors were not home that weekend. It was wonderful family fun and I would recommend a stay at this cabin.

Stayed for 2 days in July, 2013
The cabin was not clean. I have a one year old so we spent a lot of time on the ground and climbing the stairs and even upon our arrival there was a lot of dirt on the floor. Also - some of the items that were listed on the sheet as being provided at the cabin (sugar for example) were not there.Exterior pictures were a bit misleading - there is a neighbor house literally 30 feet next to the house so not any privacy.
