The house was great and we were thrilled to discover Tybee Island was only a 30 minute ride away. Split our time between city dining and exploring and relaxing at the beach. It was the best of both worlds! Make sure to make a reservation and dine at The Olde Pink House
A guest from Kenosha, WI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2016 The house is very old and has been nicely renovated. I usually have nothing but good things to say about places we've stayed at, but that is not the case for this particular rental unit. The paint from the ceiling over the front stairs was cracking and falling off and there was a pile of paint chips laying on one of the steps. Many of the shelves in the closets were covered with dead insects had to be wiped clean. The blinds were the inexpensive plastic vertical kind, so they provide privacy, but don't block the light. They are difficult to openandthere is only a wand and you have to be tall to reach. The shower heads are pointed so they spray the water outside of the door. The damage waiver is extremely detailed and stringent, to the point that you can't get any smudges on the towels from makeup. So we were very concerned about water damage from the showers. We had to ask for a step stool to see ourselves in the main bathroom mirror to put on makeup because it is hung so high. The kitchen sink was clogged when we got there and the water started leaking all over the floor. The maintenance man came and replaced the disposal which was broken the next day and also replaced one of the shower heads that wasn't working at all, but not the ones that spray out the shower doors. We ended up using so many towels to wipe up all the leaking water, that we needed to have them bring us more. They were responsive to our feedback, but quite frankly, these issues should not have happened if the place was well maintained and they designed the showers correctly. The house is in a so-so area as far as safety is concerned. There are abandoned homes that have a lot of broken glass and liquor bottles inside and outside of them. We liked that it was a couple blocks from the grocery store and walking distance from Forsyth Park, which is beautiful.
Jessica F. from Fort Lauderdale, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2016 We had a great weekend in Savannah. The house is very pretty and was perfect for my family of 5. Furnishings are new, clean and very stylish. It is a little bit of a walk to downtown but so beautiful all along the way. The only bad thing is that the two houses right next to this on each side are very badly maintained properties. I would rent here again and really had a good overall experience.
Ann E. from Broomall, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2016 We did a girls trip to celebrate St. Patty's day. The condo was surprisingly spacious. Charming as well. An old building with new amenities. Not too far from the town center. Very walkable town anyway. Grocery store was about 2-3 blocks away so great when you have a kitchen. We had some trouble with the sink and dishwasher draining and the management staff was very responsive. The unit was clean and lots of towels, sheets, etc.
A guest from Atlanta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2016 Perfect accommodations for our situation. Furnishings were very nice. We did experience a problem related to extreme weather conditions, but the owner resolved the problem to our satisfaction. Would definitely stay there again.
Tasia K. from Atlanta, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2016 We came in town to celebrate the coming marriage of my best friend. We Were not looking for a wild weekend, but more of a low key girls weekend while exploring the city. Savannah Dream Home Vacations provided just that.
A guest from Osage City, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 Found this property on VRBO then communicated through Savannah Dream Vacations to secure details. Property was easily located. Outside photos of property are somewhat outdated. The upstairs property was clean with spacious bedrooms. Kitchen and TV room were comfortable sizes for our party of 6. The property is updated and served purpose needed for size of party and length of stay. The staff was great to work with and responded timely when needed. Location is minutes from shopping, Forsythe Park, restaurants, etc. Would recommend to those who want to enjoy a busy day touring, shopping, eating, theatre, etc. then escape to peaceful evening. As first time visitors, we recommend your first stop be the Visitors Information Center where the staff answered questions and provided helpful information. The trolley tour provided detailed layout of Savannah and allows unlimited on/off privileges. River Market provided live events, great boutique shopping and fabulous food options. Time was well spent at the Air Force Museum in Pooler. Savannah Live theatre production was a fun evening. Make reservations before you arrive in Savannah for most of the upscale restaurants to avoid disappointment. Fish-n-Chips at the "Distillery" and the shrimp and crab legs at The Shrimp Factory were amazing! Noteworthy: queen bed was very uncomfortable. window air conditioners grew louder and had difficulty cooling the large bedrooms. Maintenance was called first day to fix lighting in main stairway entrance. Geoff arrived timely and was very friendly. Suggestion made to have built-in shelf for master shower (to put shampoo, razor, soap, etc); and provide folding table & chairs for evening activities. Outdoor staircase entrance is narrow and used mainly by our driver to retrieve vehicle. Best wishes for your Savannah experience!
Linda G. from Jacksonville, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 Manderly! Manderly! Magnificent! EVEN OUR LOCAL FAMILY THAT LIVED 2 BLOCKS AWAY WAS SHOCKED THAT THIS"GEM" WAS RIGHT IN THEIR was spacious and very clean and well equipped with all updated appliances gadgets and with an ample supply of nice fresh clean linens and plenty of personal hygiene products...We'll be back!!! BTW I booked this while practically en route and the management went out of their way to expedite very late Friday evening....Thank You
Tamara W. from Phoenix, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 We stayed 4 nights in this house while touring Savannah. The location is outside of the Historic District which is a 4-5 block walk. The house had its ups and downs. Upsides: 1) the king size beds were comfortable (we did not use the queen bedroom) in large rooms with flat screen TVs. 2) the kitchen is lovely and stocked with everything to cook a meal. 3) there was adequate parking in the back of the house and 2 nice decks to sit and enjoy the outside. Downsides: 1) there is a top and bottom floor unit in the house. We stayed on the top floor and there is a flight of stairs to get to the second floor. If entering through the back of the house it is more like a fire escape with narrow metal stairs. 2) the living area is small and the 2 couches are worn and dirty and the TV is very small. 3) the windows are very thin and the house is very close to the neighbors so you can hear everything cars, people, neighbors. The house is next to houses with students which can be noisy. We stayed at the house the end of May when all the students were moving out. The street and alley was filled with discarded furniture, mattresses, boxes etc. a real mess! We could hardly drive down the alley as it was overflowing with trash which was not pleasant.

We have been to Savannah several times and started trying out group housing a couple of years ago. This was a great choice for us...close to the club, in downtown and available off-street parking. the only thing that I would want to make people aware of is that the back steps leading into the apartment are metal and a little on the steep side. Of course, it probably wouldn't have mattered had we not been carrying in heavy equipment from our cars each day. The weather was perfect for our stay and we made great use of the upstairs balconies! I would recommend it to anyone looking to be close the farmer's market and downtown dining.
Liz P. from Essex (Belle River), ON recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2015 This home was a perfect setting for our family vacation. Although it was not in the heart of Savannah, it was in a great location for us. The home was clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. We spent a lot of time exploring Savannah and it was nice to have a place to come back that which was large enough to accommodate the five of us. I would highly recommend this to any one who wants to be away from the core of the city and willing to walk to all the sites.
A guest from Zebulon, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2014 My family had a great time in Savannah and at the Waldburg Street property. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Brenda W. from Knoxville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2014 we really enjoyed our stay in Savannah. We had to downsize our party due to death in on of the family but it worked out okay. The extra bed room would have been a problem with them. there was not a TV there and we would have had a sitting problem
Carolyn S. from Fairport, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2014 506 East Waldburg is the best kept secret in Savannah. Tucked away in a great neighborhood, conveniently located close to Forsyth Park, this beautifully appointed condo is great for families who are traveling together. My husband and I were traveling with my daughter, son in law, and 17 month old granddaughter. This was a perfect place for us to stay. Three bedrooms, two amazing baths, and a state of the art kitchen allowed us to cook and eat in together in between walks and sight seeing. You couldn't have been more helpful booking our excersions. Loved the dolphin tour, ghost tour and on n off trolley tour. Thanks for a great stay.
Teresa L. from Maple Grove, MN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2014 The Waldburg property itself is beautiful, well maintained and nicely furnished. We were a bit surprised at the location. It is on the fringe. The property is only four blocks from Forsyth Park; however, if you travel east the neighborhood becomes interesting. The neighbors told us not to walk in that direction and also told us not to go past the railroad tracks. The queen mattress needs to be replaced. It sinks in the middle. Manderly and Marcia were very helpful and professional. I would definitely book with Savannah Dream Vacations again; but, a different property.
A guest from 33647, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 The house was extremely comfortable for 3 couples- amenities were as advertised and house was very clean. Extremely charming. My ONLY hesitancy at staying there again was location. It is a very long walk to downtown and the river when it's 98 degrees outside...supposedly just over a mile but definitely seemed longer. We ended up taking cabs after day 1.
A guest from New Port Richey, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2014 My husband and myself, his sister and two married children with their spouses met in Savannah. We were able to walk from the house to the historic district. The bedrooms were a generous size. The seating in the living room was not enough for 7 people. We play a lot of games and there was not a dining table.
A guest from Plant City, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 Overall the house was OK but would not recommend for older individuals due to the steps, also due to the location as it was not close to transporation which required a cab ride to get to the downtown. For younger people the location was ok AS it was only 4 5 blocks from the bus stop. The shower in the middle bath was not usable as there was no hot water and the side jets were not working. Also the bathroom floors were dirty. The home was very confortable outside of the items listed above.
Christina T. from Provincetown, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2014 Great Place to stay. Very Comfortable for the 4 adults. The management company took care of making reservations and recommending some great restaurants. Also recommended Savvy Tours, We did the tapas tour. You get a disocunt through the rental and it was great tour. Cindy was our tour guide. You hit 6 restaurants and it is walking tour with history, Highly recommned this tour
A guest from Rock Hill, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 We had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. Savannah Dream Vacations was the most professional outfit I have dealt with since renting through VRBO.
A guest from Spanish Fort, AL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013 PROS: The property management company was PROMPT TO RESPOND when we needed amenities (hair dryer & internet log in). The property was remodeled and mostly clean (though I suspect not a lot of time or detail was paid to the bathrooms).CONS: It is a LONG HIKE UP STAIRS to get to unit 506-anyone hauling a heavy suitcase or unable to climb stairs should absolutely not stay here. It was not disclosed that the property is 1 BLOCK FROM RAILROAD TRACKS! Not happy with the 5am and 6am wake up call. This area is what I would consider a 'transitional' neighborhood. It was recommended by local authorities not to walk alone at night to this property.
Kelley J. from Smyrna, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2013 The location and property were ideal for our first visit to Savannah. Everything was well kept and very comfortable. We will definitely rent with Savannah Dream Vacations for our next visit to beautiful Savannah.
A guest from Foston, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2013 We were happy with home. Little disappointed that kitchen was not as equipped as on flyer. Need for more dishes and coffee supplies. We brought coffee but thought there would be some type of pastry also. Also no TV IN MIDDLE BEDROOM. Noisy neighborhood so listened to dogs barking .All in all house was very nice. TWO BEDS WERE GREAT AND 1 NOT SO GREAT,
A guest from Fleming Island, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 Savannah is a wonderful town and we had a fantastic weekend while we were there! This being our first trip to Savannah, we were unfamiliar with the area. When we began looking for rental homes, we were lead to this property! The inside of the home was lovely and met all our needs, however, This property was in a run down portion of town, not in the Historic district as advised. We were were also told we could walk to places, as things are a "few blocks away", however, that was not the case. We also attempted to contact the property management during our stay, but never received a return call. We hope to make another trip to Savannah in the future, but would look for a better location!
A guest from Austin, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 We had a wonderful time staying in the Waldburg Street home in Savannah! It was close to most everything we wanted to see and do, it was veryclean, well maintained, nicely furnished and decorated, the owners very nice and helpful, and we would definitely stay there again when we are in Savannah. A very good rental for the money.
A guest from Port Allen, Louisiana recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 This unit was so beautiful and clean. Could use more cookware and utensils and dishes, but we made out fine. The immediate surroundings of this location looked a little questionable upon arrival, but after a phone call to the owners, we were reassured that it was a safe area and we should have no problems. Overall we enjoyed our stay, had a great family vacation would recommend and come back again.
Do your homework before you rent from Savannah Dream Vacations
A guest from Williamsburg, VA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 Pictures of house look great online, neighborhood does not match at all. The house next door is boarded up (looks condemned) and the locals advised that we not walk from the house to the historic district due to crime risk. Do your homework before you sign a contract with Savannah Dream Vacations, there is a clause in their contract that confirms that you understand where the house is located. We ended up renting another home for the weekend in the historic district because we did not feel safe staying in the home on E. Waldberg. The owners would not return any of the money that we paid, even the cleaning fee (we didn't stay in the home). We lost ~$1,100 with Savannah Dream Vacations, which is a shame and tough to believe.
Upstairs location, not walking to Historic District
Randy K. from Aberdeen, SD recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 The property itself was clean, newly renovated, and good amenities for an older building. Nowhere was it mentioned that it was an upstairs apartment-style rental. Nor is it walking distance to the Historic District. The neighborhood was a bit unkempt, with locals loitering outside and grass not mowed in the boulevards.
A guest from Elkhart Lake, WI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2013 This wasn't a "dream vacation" at all. Upon arrival, we were dismayed to be greeted by a neighborhood in general disrepair and a disturbance being attended to by the police. This prompted a call to the property manager on duty regarding the safety of the area. He was very nice and assured me that it was safe according to police and statistical records. We selected the area because we wanted to be somewhat away from the hub of the downtown area, but able to walk to attractions easily. I had imagined a quaint and charming Savannah neighborhood. We ventured out to the grocery store on foot looking over our shoulder the entire way. In speaking to the security guard at the store (yes, the Kroger has on site visible security staff - which tells you something about the area) we were told to be very careful about walking anywhere beyond the store. This set the tone for the next 5 days and we could never let our guard down. This is not how we like to go on vacation. But we signed a contract, and shame on me for not checking it out more thoroughly. The picture of the house is just plain misleading. It specifically does not show you the neighborhood, because no one would rent it if they saw the many deteriorating homes surrounding it. There is no quaint view AT all, unless you like looking at the sides of other houses in various states of disrepair or the trash can lined alley. The inside of the home had some modern touches to it, but it wasn't very clean. The lights over the stove were greasy and filthy, bugs in the overhead lights, ceiling lights burned out, and grimy baseboards. There is no filtration system on the water, so, over time, the water leaves a film over anything glass in the bathroom and the fixtures are corroded. For this, we paid in excess of $300 a night. I literally cried when I saw some of the B&B's I could have rented in beautiful Savannah neighborhoods for the same or less money. Tenant beware - this listing is VERY deceiving.
