Little more can top a beach vacation, unless that vacation takes place in a private, beachfront townhome! From the time that you pull into your personal garage, you?ll feel like you?re in your own secret world. This elegant three-bedroom, three-bath unit features balconies off of the living room and the third-floor master bedroom, so the ocean waves are nearly always beckoning to you. The master bedroom is outfitted with a cozy king-sized bed and master bath, and the second upstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed and its own bathroom. Downstairs, the third bedroom features twin beds and is steps away from the third full bath. Each bedroom has its own flat-screen TV, so even with a full house, there will be no arguments to break the tranquility! The full kitchen opens into the living area, handsomely appointed with an overstuffed leather couch, loveseat, and armchair, ensuring that the whole family is cozy as they look out to the peaceful sea. Beachside Colony is located on the beach, right in the middle of Tybee Island, a spot that puts it one mile from the pier, the hub of the island?s nightlife, and one mile from the Tybee Light Station, one of only 7 colonial-era lighthouses still in use in America. The resort boasts 3 pools, the largest of which is heated throughout the autumn and winter, and Marlin Monroe?s, an on-site restaurant and bar acclaimed for its oyster roasts and live entertainment.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 30 days in November, 2015 I loved the openness in the town home. The living room furniture was very comfortable and so were all the beds. Plenty of space for my family of six in the home and on the balconies. Loved the view.
Maxine H. from Lagrange, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2015 It was what we aiming at so we didn't have to eat out every night unless we wanted to and all the grandkids were there together.
Daniel L. from Sharpsburg, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 This is a nice condo on the beach that could use just a little TLC. We had some minor mechanical issues. The front door lock was very hard to open, one of the upstairs showers did not work, and the TV was not working in the lower bedroom. The balcony view from the main floor is blocked by foliage, but the view from the master bedroom balcony is great. The wallpaper has very minor peeling at the seams throughout the unit. Be aware this is a 3 story unit with no elevator. If someone in your party has trouble with stairs (2 flights) or walking long distances (wide beach), you might want to keep that in mind.Overall, I would DEFINITELY stay here again, but would hope that these minor issues could be addressed. This unit is located on the north end of the island and most activity / nightlife is located down by the pier.
A guest from Savannah, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2015 We loved not having to travel to get to our beach vacation....the experience on Tybee was fun and relaxing. The beach house was spacious and great for all family members. Just enough privacy and common space.
A guest from Johnson City, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 We loved the location of the condo, the beach itself, the town of Tybee, and the overall atmosphere and vacation experience. The only one we ranked lower was the general condition which really just involved the bathrooms, esp the Master bathtub. It wouldn't drain, which caused frustration and irritation, however, we chose not to report it to maintenance for repair during our stay for convenience purposes and just reported it when we checked out. The other baths just had minor repair issues. Other than that, all went exceedingly well and the condo was very comfortable.
A guest from Columbus, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2015 We loved the view and the walks on the ocean. You do have to communicate to the owner, however, that the visual quality of the dwelling was very much like an 8 Days Inn: drooping shower curtains filled with mildew on the bottoms, punctured walls, hanging toilet paper and towel dispensers, dysfunctional lamps, stained and peeling wallpaper (one unsightly spot by the dining area that one is forced to look at while sitting on the couch), heavy urine smells in the bathrooms, multiple stains on ceilings at every level, tubs that did not drain (even after the polite plumber came and attempted to repair it we stood in inches of water as we showered), smudged black-tarrish matter at the garage entrance, flaking green paint from the front door.Unacceptable at nearly $1,800!Unacceptable.Yet, the clerk behind the desk, and the maintenance man who came to attempt unplugging the tub were very polite. Please, please, do NOT mistake my tone. We enjoyed ourselves so long as we were outside. But, my wife and I have been in businesses and were pleased when people told us what's off. And since what you do is rent so-called upscale condos, well, you ought to get a trained eye in there to bring them up to standards. Please do not use our name in reference for the quality of that unit.Thank you,Jim East
Dani K. from Monticello, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2014 I cannot say enough good things about the Beachside Colony ,Atlantic Ocean Homes #3 ,Marlin Monroe?s restaurant and bar, the staff of the beachside, just everything is great and top notch. From the spaces Condo with a private beach entrance and a great patio right outside your garage. The view from the master bedroom balcony is incomparable with anyplace on the island. I truly love this place, When you come to Tybee and stay hear you just don?t get the Tybee experience but you get the Beachside Colony experience. I guaranty you will not want to go home after visiting this place. Do yourself a favor and get some grouper fingers, a margarita from Marlins and relax by one of the three pools, you will thank me later.
Beachfront, but not able to see the beach from the main floor
A guest from Washington, PA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2014 First of all we were placed in this unit due to the condo we had rented, the owner renter it to 3 parties on the same week. This was ocean front but the main living area you could not see the ocean due to the foilage, that is the reason the drapes are closed in the picture. It was dirty, all tubs needed scrubbed, cigarette butts in the laundry area floor, dust bunnies in the hallway corners and bedrooms, wallpaper peeling in the hallway and bedrooms, rust in the microwave, poor choice of kitchen amenities, outdoor cooking area trashy, this stay was very unpleasant and very disappointed we were forced to take this unit.
Laura A. from Fort Mill, South Carolina recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2014 We rented Atlantic #3 and the room was very nice and clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have would be the view from the bottom floor. Everyone had to congregate to the master bedroom to get he nice view. Would we stay again.
A guest from Charlotte, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2014 This was the 3rd year in a row we have stayed in this condo. This was the first year we had any complaints, the master tub would not drain, light bulbs out, remote on upstairs TV not working, but even with that we love these condos, the location is wonderful, great parking and the staff makes it very easy for check in and check out. Minor complaints, we will be back and I would recommend this place. We love the Social Club and Sundae Cafe for dinner. We went Kayaking and went to Fort Pulaski. We also spent a day in Savannah.Great place for a vacation.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Good views (great from the master bedroom--ok from the main living area), great beach access, gated area with garage parking (unexpected plus). Kitchen ok...very basic cookware/dishes and we stayed in most evenings. All appliances worked. TV's in bedrooms rather old and not compatible to hook ups for computers/games but living room TV is. We had awesome weather the whole week so not much time inside anyway. Pool access easy and nice amenity with restaurant next door. Best restaurant was Lighthouse Pizza.
Daphine C. from monticello, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2014 The condo was lovely and we enjoyed it very much it has a private beach entrance with private pools and resturant/ bar! Its a great place to stay! Our only complaint is the pool guy he says he's on the board and an member of beach side colony condos? Well he was very rude to my children and to us as guest! He was rude to other guest as well that we over heard through out the day and the next day! We paid a lot of money to stay at this location and was very upset with the way this man treated guest of the condos! Other than having to see this man again I would recommend this place to my friends and family and come back as a guest myself!
A guest from Jackson, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2014 The weekend was rainy but our accommodations and proximity to the beach made it seem like Sunny Summer Days! We will definitely be back.
Robert S. from Rochester, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2014 The best bark of this property is the location to the beach. Only thing that i was hoping for was to have the bar open more
A guest from Ooney, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2013 The condo was great! We had a good time. The only downside was a private party at Marlin's on our first night- we got poor service and not so good food, so we didn't go back. Otherwise, it was a great stay at a great location!!
Review of Beachside Colony and Atlantic Ocean Townhome #3
A guest from Charlotte, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2013 Beachside Colony made the rental process very easy and quick. Check in and out was a breeze. The condo was in very good condition, the location was excellent. A wonderful experience and we will return.
A guest from Tuitui, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in June, 2013 We loved this Condo! We only spent one night, but wanted to stay longer. It was very close to the beach (once we found the beach access next to the pool!) Two balconies with amazing views to sit and relax while the kids watched a movie with the DVD player which was provided! The pool was a little small with the crowd, but nice for the kids the play - a nice wading pool area for the younger children. The condo itself was very clean, lots of room. We had 5 kids and 3 adults which was perfect. The only thing is the garage. If you drive a big vehicle, it is quite a challage to get your large truck or SUV inside of it. There are 2 parking spaces inside the garage and 1 outside parking space, so if you only have 1 big vehicle, you can just use the outside parking space. We had 3 vehicles, only one fit in the garage easily, but the positive thing is they have a gravel lot in front of the property where you can park your vehicle if you don't feel comfortable trying to get in the garage. So, that still worked out quite well! The front desk employees were very nice and helpful! Thanks so much and we want to come back and stay again!
Lenda B. from Poplar Bluff, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in March, 2013 The folks at the rental office could not have been nicer or more helpful - they were lovely. Only complaint about the stay at all was that the condo was not as clean as we would have liked, but other than that it was absolutely perfect. We would definitely recommend it and would stay again! Try the fried grouper in the restaurant - it is soooo good!
