The Beachside Colony was okay.
A guest from York, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2016 For the money we spent for 3 days, really think you could provide toilet paper other than one roll. The pools were very very small and only 4ft. We didn't even get in the pool. No hot tub!??
Heather R. from Macon, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2016 Our Vacation Rental Experience was wonderful, the customer service representative was excellent, I can't wait to come back.
A guest from Warner Robins, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2014 Our stay at #507 was lovely. Blanche was a great assist in helping us book. The condo is I good middle spot b/w the busy pier and the north end. Nicely situated just across road frm a park that was ideal for walking our four-legged child. Condo was clean, spacious, & bed was very comfortable. Very short stroll to pool & Marlin Monroe's. Very short w as lkdirectly to the beach.
A guest from Ste. Genevieve, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 I wouldn't say we exactly had a ocean view! The view we had from the balcony was mainly of the back of the building in front of us, the parking lot, some of the pool area and in the way upper right corner above the pool area, you could see the ocean in the far distance. Not really what I had pictured, when they said ocean front. The condo was very nice and spacious however it could have used some updating. The many of the blinds were missing in the master suite on the patio doors. Several of the doors squeaked when opening/closing. Patio doors did not look securely enough for my liking. Did not like returning keys to front desk upon check out, especially when I had to wait 10 minutes for them to open at 8am.I had nothing to pay or sign, so what was the point? I could have been on the road much sooner.
A guest from Leesburg, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2014 A number of problems. The "oceanfront" unit advertised had a wonderful view of the parking lot, only a sliver of ocean was visible. The toaster did not work at all. Cleanliness was barely acceptable. The food and service at the restaurant were horrible. High speed internet was a joke because to use it you had to be within a few feet of the TV where there was no table nearby. All three keys just stopped working one day and we had to go to the office to have this fixed. The sprinkler was directed at our parking spaces in such a way that when running we could not enter or exit the vehicle without getting soaked.
A guest from Sugar Hill, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2014 Property needs some work, there are doors that do not lock, including the large glass sliding door to the outside (not safe). There was no sheets for the pullout bed which in itself was in terrible condition. The bathrooms gave off a bad smell, even though they appeared clean. For the money, I felt the property should have been in better condition. We were told the property had Wi-Fi, but it did not. So we used quite a lot of cellular data unfortunately. We would probably look for a different property next time, this one didn't quite cut it.
Jodi R. from Alpharetta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 This is our 3rd year in a row coming to Tybee Island for a very special weekend called "Surfers for Autism". We stayed at Beachside Colony the 1st year and have never looked anywhere else since. We love the spacious rooms, the cleanliness, having the pool there for our Sunday swim and lunch @ Marlin Monroes. We rented the same condo 2 years in a row on accident but I have to say I feel like this year it was starting to show its age. However, we will be back at Beachside Colony next year for the 4th annual Surfers for Autism event. see you then!
Paul D. from Dacula, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2013 Condo floor was dirty. Could not walk around barefoot. Toilet ran every 15 minutes. Shades in bedroom window were missing pieces. Noisy neighbors upstairs.
Jana C. from Mt Holly, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 This is my second time staying at beach colony on Tybee Island, GA. This most recent stay was with just my family of four (2 young children and husband). We had a wonderful stay, access to the beach and a heated pool. Close to the attractions on Tybee and very friendly staff. We will definitely be back!
