Our Tybee Island Vacation David S. from Red Bank, NJ recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in April, 2016 It was our first visit to Savannah and to Tybee Island, and we will be back! Beachside Colony is where we made our "home" for a week, and it was great! The condo was beautiful, and very well maintained. The only complaint would be the ceiling fan in the bedroom as you first walk in could not go higher than low or you thought the entire light was going to shake off! The front desk said it will be taken care of, so I see no problems in the future with it. We had a fantastic view of the ocean from our balcony and enjoyed the sunrise each morning. We will certainly recommend Beachside Colony to all of our friends! I want to also thank Lori from Property Management as I spoke with her several times and she was just so pleasant with real southern hospitality! We will return! Missing Tybee Time already!
Beautiful Beachside in the Fall Cindie L. from Moscow, OH recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in October, 2015 Having experienced BSC since its very beginnings many years ago, nothing surprises me & this time was no exception. Overall we were treated exceptionally well, with the staff tasking care of our needs. When the elevator quit on Columbus Day we knew from experience that it wouldn't get fixed till Tues (not the fault of BSC), so we asked to be moved from the 4th to 2nd floor as my bad knee can't do that many steps. Staff agreed with our request & the head house keeper assisted us with the move. Both Condos were nicely furnished, but needed minor maintenance, which is to be expected at the end of the season. My companion had never been to Tybee before & was so pleased, that he wants to come back in the Spring!
Wonderful Condo Experience A guest from Peachtree City, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 LOVED our stay on Tybee and in unit 422. It seriously had EVERYTHING you would ever need. Kitchen was wonderfully stocked with great coffee mugs, plastic cups & plates (great for kids) tons of cooking utensils, blankets, pillows, an iron (no i don't iron at the beach, but my kid had a craft which required ironing :-)) furniture was wonderful. All in all a great stay!
Our 1st Tybee trip A guest from Amherst, OH does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 4 days in August, 2015 Furnishings/Decor was nice. Kitchen was well stocked w/nice dishes, utensils, pots/pans, etc... View was great. However microwave was broke & office couldn't get it fixed until our 2nd to last night, which was very inconvenient for our food we packed & leftovers. Garbage disposal was broke & kitchen faucet looked like it was barely hanging on. The worst part was the master bathroom, which was very dirty....baseboard hadn't been cleaned in who-knows-how-long and most of the light switches were either filthy or/and broke looking. I took pics of the filth & would have shown the office, had they been open when I checked out. Glad I brought cleaning supplies..... I would recommend this property if I thought it would be cleaned better & All appliances were working
Did not have a microwave. A guest from Lizella, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in July, 2015 Microwave shorted out. We reported to front desk and no one came to fix it. When I got home there was a message on my home phone that a repair man was coming.
Will stay here again A guest from New Market, AL recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in July, 2015 We had a great stay. We love Tybee and have been many times. We have stayed here twice now and plan to stay here in the future. The only issue we had was someone cleaning the room next to us. I was coming into the room and she was cursing and very upset because the people in that unit had gotten sand in the shower and hall. I didn't se the room but I really didn't appreciate the language and don't want my small children to see or hear her behavior and language. It was very unprofessional! That being said we I'll stay here again so long as this does not become a countinuous issue.
Not what I'd call a "Resort" A guest from Dunwoody, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 The unit we rented was fine for the purpose which was beachfront ocean view, less crowds on the North end, and spacious enough to feel like home. The furnishings were more than ample and of good enough quality for a rental. The unit was clean, pretty well maintained. I really wasn't expecting a true resort but out of curiousity I asked one of the front desk persons why the whole place was called a resort. I was told it was called that because it has a pool and a restaurant. Ha! No recreational facilities, saunas, spa, fine dining, etc. that one normally finds at a resort were in evidence. One note of caution to others thinking about renting on the North Beach. The beach has been re-nourished by pumping of God knows how much sand from out in the water. Besides adding lots of sand to a beach that has historically suffered serious erosion problems there are zillions of broken shell pieces in the sand. Most pieces are small but are just a sharp and annoying as larger pieces. The shells make it difficult to walk on the beach barefoot and with sandals. If you've never been to Tybee don't get your hopes up about finding lots to do ala Daytona Beach or Myrtle Beach. It's never been that way at least for the last 60 years and never will be. But if you want low key relaxation with some salt water, salt air and good seafood Tybee might just fill your bill.
Tybee Island oceanfront condo barbara b. from Cambria, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in November, 2014 I booked with the help of a real person over the phone. We wanted a heated pool due to our Nov vacation. We would have a toddler with us so telling us about a nice park across the street was helpful. We arrived at the condo and it was a bit shabby on the outside. the condo was fine though. View was great. There is an asphalt tracking problem at beach colony you will have to deal with. Cookware was inferior and old. Beds, dishes, furniture, linens were fine. Centrally located on the Island. Staff was wonderful. Pool was nice and warm but again shabby.
422 beachside A guest from JASPER, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in September, 2014 like most rentals you have to look at the utinsels that you can use first the skillets are the non-stick that someone ate they were so bad we could not use---so we did not cook breakfast--after that we quit looking--all-in-all the condo was what what the rental discription indicated--we would recomend this unit (422) and (322) to anyone
Property Manager Response: Response from Beachside Colony Thanks you for taking the time to write a review. We hope that you enjoyed your stay. I am so sorry you could not cook breakfast, I will make sure to replace the utensils and the cookware in the unit. In the future, please do not hesitate to let the front desk no of any issues during your stay, we would have been happy to provide you with new items.

Beach House #422 A guest from Goose Creek, SC does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 14 days in May, 2014 Location was great which is about the only good thing that I can say. Check in time was 4:00 pm. Finally got into room after 5:30pm. Elevators did not work more times than they did work. Had a puddle of water under electrical outlet in master bathroom. Called front desk, maintenance was dispatched. Had no clue what was going on. Two week later, same puddle under outlet. Dangerous! Crock pot in unit was broken. Would not recommend and will not stay at Beachside Colony again.
Great Sunrise View A guest from Aiken, SC recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 We have stayed at Beachside several times. This property was well maintained. The staff is always freindly.
Love location, but some improvements needed A guest from Worthington, OH does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 Love Beachside Colony, stayed two years ago in the Vue and loved it. Loved the beachfront location and views from this condo, but were disappointed with the following: floors were dirty - feet turned black from walking on it; TVs and DVD payers did not work; coffee table was unusable; pillow cases did not fit pillows and some lights did not work.
Good, but needs attention to detail A guest from Knoxville, TN recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in July, 2013 The location was great (right on the beach)! However, the condo needed some TLC. The balcony door in the master bedroom did not function at all and the dishwasher was broken. We did not consult with the staff on these matters due to the fact we were only in the condo to sleep. I thought the amenities in the condo do not reflect well with the price paid for a nights stay. I would recommend Tybee Island as a vacation spot for families and Beachside Colony was in a great location.
Truely the best most convienent location for family on the beach A guest from Savannah, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in July, 2013 Was disappointed that the restaurant/bar closed so early each night. Especially July 4
Nice place to stay Robert M. from Parma, OH recommends this property.
