Unhappy with value at 138 Beau Clair Rick D. from St. Louis, MO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 1. Were told second deposit due 30 days out, contract said 15 days. Expected to pay at 15 days. Second deposit taken from credit card at 30 days without permission. Surprise.2. Internet did not work, was repaired. We both work remotely and this was an issue we had expressed concern about before renting. Check systems before guest arrival???3. DVD player did not work, was replaced. 4. Could not find towels, they were in the dryer. Should have been put out.5. Medication bag discovered in closet (we had children present).6. Very dirty, and still is, under master bedroom bed. Looks like has never been cleaned.7. Porch lights burned out.8. Door bell broken.9. No extra TP, paper towels, garbage bags. Had to make several calls. 10. No kitchen sponge, had to use washcloth until we purchased our own.11. Would not recommend based on housekeeping and maintenance issues. Value not in line with many other rentals we have had through VRBO. |

Only one out of four kitchen overhead lights was working, and none of the outside lights would come on. It was a dark, rainy weekend and we would have appreciated lights that worked! Furniture was comfortable. |
