A slice of heaven's review. William S. from Hicksville, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2013 Overall the cabin was very homie and cute. It had a very comfortable and nice layout. The only negatives that I would say there were are the following. Very outdated electronics (TVs DVD players ect) one of the curtains in the living room was stained pretty badly, we found several dead bugs behind one of the beds, & the hot tub did not get hot stayed Luke warm no matter what temp setting we attempted to put it on. Overall it was a nice cabin for my wife & I. We would give it a total of 4 out of five stars. If they were to upgrade the electronics & fix or correct the other small issues it would easily be a 5 star rated cabin. |

A wonderful stay A guest from Xenia, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2013 My family and I stayed at "A Slice of Heaven" for four nights, mid-week, and overall, we had a very relaxing and wonderful time. The cabin was nicely furnished, and pretty much everything worked great. The only minor issues we had were related to the electrical system in the cabin. First, the main floor bedroom circuit breaker had tripped prior to our arrival, so we couldn't watch the TV the first night (the property management personnel came out very quickly the next day and fixed the problem, though). Second, I think all the 3-way switches in the cabin were wired incorrectly, because only one of the two switches would turn the lights on and off, if the other switch was in the "on" position. This was a minor pain for the last person going up the stairs for the night.The view from the front and side decks was gorgeous, and it was so nice to wake up to a mountain view from the loft bedroom. There are two other cabins across the street, but they are at a lower elevation, so they don't interfere with the view of the mountains in the background.The cabin is very secluded, which is great if you just want to get away from it all, but if you are hoping to go out to eat every night, just keep in mind that there is about a 15-20 minute drive to the closest restaurant (i.e., McDonalds). We ended up stocking up the kitchen with food for the week, and grilled out in the charcoal grill that is provided. |
