57 km south of Rovaniemi, Portimojärvi 60 m (lake length 3.5 km, width of 1 km), shallow water, sandy bottom, own boat. Made of logs (square timber) main building "uitonpirtti", built in 1948, fully renovated in 2006. In living room (downstairs) one child's bed (length 170 cm), a kitchen, a spacious bedroom with 2 beds and one bed which can be extended to 80 cm X 200 cm), sauna (electric stove), bathroom/WC (with walk-in shower), spacious hallway. Upstairs spacious bedroom with 2 beds and sofa bed, nice view and a toilet.

Lakeside sauna 50 m, with spacious sauna room and a dressing room. The sauna stove and the cauldron is heated with wood, electric lighting, cold water comes from the lake by electric pump. Comfortable two-storied house with modern facilities. Bright and sunny, child-friendly courtyard area in which greenhouse, windmill, water well and plants, as well as possibility to play a variety of outdoor games.
The house in the yard is used by the owner of a pottery workshop (used couple times a week), distance of about 50 m (other neighbours 200 m, no sight). Guests can visit pottery workshop, as well as to have a possibility to shop there. Part of upstairs is on owner's private use (they don't use their part when clients are staying in the cottage).

Lake Portimojärvi is a well-known bird lake and by the beach about 4 km away there is a bird-watching tower. Simojoki (salmon river) flows through the lake.
For the guests to use there is 3 pairs of snow shoes, 2 bikes, manual ice drill and ice fishing equipment, as well as a kick sled.
Ranua Zoo 21 km, 57 km Rovaniemi, Ounasvaara ski resort 60 km, Airport Rovaniemi 65 km.
