The Good, the bad, the ugly! A guest from Greenwich, OH does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2013 Good...Check-in was quick and easy and the directions we were given helped us locate our cabin easily. The cabin was in a great location and was and we liked the lay out, more than enough room for a family of four. The fire was very cozy. The view was beautiful (so long as you did not look down at the hillside). The cabin is quite a drive up the mountain and added some excitement to our trip. You will definitely want 4 wheel drive and good tires!The bad...The cabin did not heat evenly...the upstairs and living room/kitchen were very warm, the basement and bottom floor bedroom were not warm, the basement was freezing! The ugly...The floors were filthy! After getting over a migraine headache I had to scrub down the floors. The hillside was strewn with garbage. Oh, and the game is not maintained very well. We called and asked for dart tips and were told maintenance would have to come replace them, weird, but okay. Maintenance never came to replace the tips.Overall, a good stay in a peaceful a beautiful place! |

We love Aunt Bug's...just not this particular cabin. EMILY P. from DAMASCUS, VA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 Aunt Bug's staff are always great! We've stayed in 4 of your cabins over the last few years and all have been awesome, except this one. Foosball table, one pool stick, darts and dart board were broken. Hot tub water was very dirty. Large splinter sticking up in lower level floor. No sign with cabin name on it. Living room TV channels not the same as other rooms. Fuse box door on porch flaps every time the wind blows. Oven temp panel broken-hard to use. No baking sheets. |
