This 3 Bedroom 3.5 Bath home sleeps a maximum of 8 people and is located just a short drive to the Plaza, Santa Fe Opera, Tesuque, and Ski Santa Fe. North of the Plaza of Bishops Lodge on a private 1.75 acre lot covered in Pinons. The home was originally built in the 1960's and has been remodeled in 2004 and again in 2012. Located near the Governors Mansion this home is open and bright, quite and peaceful with gardens to enjoy in early mornings and evenings. Stay cool in this home in the summer time with its A/C and ceiling fans. Or kick back in the winter time and enjoy the wood burning fire place. This home is complete with tile flooring, full kitchen, microwave, diswasher, coffee maker, toaster, plenty of cookware and gas BBQ for our outdoor chefs. For your viewing pleasure are 3 flat sceen TV's with Satelite Dish. The home also has a stereo, DVD player, CD player, and WIFI internet access. Nice home but nothing spectacular A guest from Hurst, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 This home was very nice but I don't think we would stay here again. The upstairs floors creak so when you are downstairs in the master you can hear anytime anyone moves. The master bed was very uncomfortable with a big hump in the middle. Anyone with small children take notice-there are stairs everywhere (although we did find baby gates which was nice) The house appeared appeared to be clean but after walking around in our socks during the morning, our socks were VERY dirty on the bottom. That's more of a housekeeping issue than a property issue. Location to town is great but there weren't any views or extras like a hot tub so overall it was an okay stay. |

poor heating at Catch the Wind!!!!! A guest from Terrebonne, OR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2012 There were no instructions explaining that the thermostat in the master also controlled the other 2 bedrooms. Even once we figured that out the heat in the other 2 bedrooms was NEVER sufficient. Even when they set it at 68 and the folks in the master were way too hot, the people in the bedrooms were still cold! So cold that there was actually ice on the inside of the single pane bedroom windows!!! The lack of adequate heat really kept them from getting good rest and resulted in 2 of the 4 adults getting ill. I would never recommend this house in the winter! The ignitor on the stove clicks constantly when using certain burners. For a gourmet kitchen in a house of this caliber we were surprised not to find a coffee grinder, a simple juice squeezer, a few plastic containers for leftovers and sufficient bowls for 8 adults. We did have to wash the potato masher and wooden spoons as they were quite dirty when we found them. For the price of this home, the heating situation was simply unacceptable! We also noticed that instructions that were left for the fireplace were specific to a kiva fireplace and didn't apply to the one in the house which we did use and enjoy very much. |
