Yard has fence (made of sloping poles) on side near road. In yard dog pound and heated kennel, wooden shed and grill tepee (can be rented separately from campsite office). Area offers good fishing, berry picking, hiking and backpacking opportunities. Rowing boat can be rented from campsite.

Lake is clearwater type ideal for recreational fishing; salmonid fish stocked several times a year. Fishing licences and tackle, canoe, meal services to cottage, etc, available from campsite office at cost.

Groups can book dugout shelter village, where rainbow trout pond with easily caught fish, sauna, dugouts for sleeping in, and main building for meals and meetings.

Horse riding opportunities at Lassila riding stables 4 km away from cottage. Kinnula 11 km, Peuranpolku hiking trail 300 m, museum of local culture/crafts and Vihtori Storck’s atelier 9 km, Metsäpeuranmaa Visitor centre 1 km, Salamajärvi National Park 27 km.
