50 km east of Seinäjoki, Lake Kuortane-järvi 150 m (length 9 km, width 2 km), shallow, child-friendly public beach maintained by the commune, private boat. Holiday house built in 1989, a complete renovation inside in 2007, a spacious living room, kitchen, bedroom with double bed, bedroom with two beds, a bedroom with 1 bed, spacious closet, utility room, wash room, sauna, terraces on the beach side and the yard side. The building has mechanical ventilation / heat recovery and geothermal heating. The holiday house is located in grassed garden plot (3,700 m²) in Ostrobothnian traditional landscape, the lake opens to the south. The site has lot of plants, an artificial pool, earth cellar, a playhouse and in outbuilding woodshed and carport. The rent includes the Indian canoe. Pets are not allowed inside, but holiday house is not suitable for allergic persons anyway.

Ruona village has been the subject of tough battles in the War of Finland during 1808. Bike routes in the village, ski tracks at Kuortane Sports Institute. Owners of the place has Conference and events center Virtaniemi, which offers riding , ATV route 30 km, lure fishing at Kätkäjoki river, beach volleyball court, a smoke sauna and winter swimming. Shop on wheels stops in the village on Friday, Kuortane center 6 km, Sport Institute 5 km, Alavus 29 km Lapua, 33 km. Check-in/out on Friday in high season.
