Vacation Home Rental Description:
One of a kind luxury mountain retreat set on 4 scenic acres! The Ponderosa is a fantastic retreat for multiple families looking for a rural setting for some rest and relaxation. This 5 bedroom / 3 bathroom home boats over 3,500 sq ft of living space! The 4 acre setting is located between Easton and Cle Elum, and is just a short 1/4 mile walk or ride to the John Wayne Trail. You may ride your horses directly from the house to the trail!
The centerpiece of the home is the expansive great room featuring a 40ft vaulted ceiling and a river rock wood burning fireplace. The full kitchen is stocked with all the utensils you'll need to make fantastic family dinners. Just off the great room is a 1,000 sq ft covered patio which is perfect for summer or winter time outdoor entertainment. The kids' will enjoy yard games on the grass area and climbing all over the kid's play structure!
The Ponderosa sleeps 16 comfortably in beds. The main floor master features a California King Memory Foam Mattress and private bathroom with a jetted tub. On the other side of the great room is a 2nd bathroom and a Queen Bedroom. On the 2nd floor you'll find 3 additional bedrooms and the 3rd bathroom. The first 2nd floor bedroom has a Queen and a Twin over Twin Bunk Bed. The second bedroom has a King, and the 3rd "Kid's Bedroom" has a Queen and 2 Twin Bunk Beds.
This is a great facility for horse lovers and visitors of the Washington State Horse Park here in Cle Elum! There are paddocks for 4 horses with a maximum of 6 horses allowed on the property. Please call for horse pricing! This cabin is also pet friendly, $25/nt pet fee.
The cabin is equipped with Air Conditioning to beat the summer time heat! The Kitchen features stainless appliances and there is a gas BBQ under the covered entertainment patio. There are 3 TVs in the house with Dish Network and DVD players! There is also a whole house stereo with speakers in many of the rooms!

great place with an abundance of space A guest from Kent, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2013 The place was better than the pictures. We had an amazing stay and the snow made it look like It was from a post card. It is not as secluded as the pictures make it seem, but you still have tons of privacy and the walls are close for sound proof. We would definitely stay here again and would recomend it to friends. The good, the bad, and the ugly A guest from Tumwater, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 There is plenty of open space for a large family gathering and our family had a great time at the Ponderosa. Just don't plan to eat together at the table if you have more than 8 in your group. The kitchen is more spacious than the pictures show and is adequately stocked (except for mixing bowls; couldnt even find one). Bring your own small applicances such as griddle, slow cooker, etc. A large pantry is a real plus for storing groceries. However, it is a hit and miss for the beds. The bunk beds and the bed in the second bedroom on the first floor are the worst. So...try the before you choose your room! There is no internet or cable so be prepared; it was difficult to figure out the TV since there were no instructions. Also, it was difficult to stay warm. The heating system is not very adequate...bring lots of sweaters to stay warm and wood for the fireplace (it does get warmer upstairs than downstairs). There was snow on the ground and the kids had a great time playing in it and the location meant they could laugh and yell and not bother the neighbors. The managers are friendly and responsive to questions and helpful if you encounter a problem. Overall...I give the property a thumbs up. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 My wife and I and our 3 married children and grandchildren had a dream-come-true time at the Ponderosa. Snowing everyday. White Christmas. Lots of food and fun. We screamed with delight as we entered the Ponderosa and saw the amazing space we enjoyed for 5 days. We would recommend and hope to return some time.
