Vintage (1930's), Deco, fully restored and equipped, located in the very heart of Old San Juan, on the main square, 'Plaza de Armas', right in front of City Hall, at the only residential building on plaza. There is an open-air cafe below. Front porch with great views, including the bay: see cruise ships come and go. Some of the features are: home telephone, hi-speed internal WI-FI, fax/e-printer/copier/scanner, washer/dryer, iron with board, granite-top kitchen counter, gas stove, high-ceilings, intercom, original mahogany doors and woodwork, TV/DVR home theater with cable service via DishNetwork, stereo, CD player, A/C throughout most areas, storm-proof double-glazed windows, water reserve, etc. Very safe. Since this is an owner-maintained unit, we make constant improvements. We take very much into consideration all suggestions and comments from previous guests.

Old San Juan ('Viejo San Juan') is one of the oldest settlements in the Americas, it's origins dating back to the 16th century, and it is the historic colonial section of San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is located on a small island connected to the mainland of Puerto Rico by bridges and a causeway. Nearest beach (Escambron) is just a 30-minute walk, or 5 minutes away by taxi, public bus or car; twice that for the Convention Center. OSJ is mostly enjoyed by walking, but there are some public parking garages on the periphery.
The district is characterized by numerous public plazas and churches, including the Cathedral of San Juan.
With its abundance of shops, historic places, museums, open air cafés, restaurants, clubs, gracious homes, tree-shaded plazas, and its old beauty and architectonical peculiarity, OSJ is the main spot in Puerto Rico for international and local tourism. A free tourist trolley serves the old city. The centuries-old Morro Fort complex is just a few blocks away.
