Because of the backup the downstairs had a very strong odor, however the response to the situation was very good and the problem fix by lunch. This was the only issue that was a problem. Thanks |

Answer: a Ski Vacation in Canaan. We have been doing this for the past 15+ years and it is a great way to keep the families in touch.They grow up fast. The last few years were at Lost River Lodge. We always love it. It is right on the ski slope. It also easily accommodates our large group - 8 families, various ages. |

4 fall smith laylon burkhart confair Jill C. from Williamsport, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2012 Love the house and location. The stove and microwave quite old and slow (especially gas stove). The towels, hot pads... are really starting to show wear and discolor as are some of the pots and pans. The DVD player on mail floor (not ground level)tv room does not work (didn't last yr either)...blueray might be nice since most DVD's are now this if you bring your own. Also the sectional couch in main floor left reclining section leans sideways when reclined (just to let you know)other furniture in good shape. It would be nice to have the Tv on 3rd floor slopeside master up on a higher stand since can't see the whole screen when in bed (too low). Love the layout, view of slope, gas fireplace, big table for our family gathering, nice hot tub. Cathedral ceiling light bulbs need replacing (only 2 out of 6 worked) as did lights over island in kitchen and several other places. Master king mattress on main floor is quite worn. We didn't find dish detergent or laundry detergent there when arrived (think this was mentioned in the new write-up). Also a few bathrooms didn't have spare toilet paper roll but all had soap and liquid soap at sink which was great. These comments may seem picky but just some suggestions to make the stay even more enjoyable.
