Kaha Lani 213: Wailua Bay view 2br/2ba on the Coconut Coast, at Lydgate Park
Welcome to Kaha Lani Resort. Oceanfront Kauai condo rentals nestled in a lush tropical rainforest. This island hideaway has miles of white sand and turquoise ocean on one side, green fairways on the other, and pure tranquility throughout. Large one- and two-bedroom Kauai condo rentals either front the ocean or have a view of it. Ocean-view suites are mere yards from the water and overlook the pool and manicured lawns, while oceanfront suites provide a panoramic vista of Wailua Bay and the Pacific.
About Adjacent Lydgate Park Frequently calm conditions and man made ponds allow swimming at Lydgate Park on almost any day. There is a large grass field, ideal for kite flying and frisbee, a playground for the kids, covered picnic tables, bike paths, public parking, bathrooms and showers. One of the few beach parks in Kauai that has lifeguards. With its safe swimming conditions and long white sand beach, the park attracts surfers, picnickers, snorkelers, windsurfers and beachcombers. North of the pools are several religious and historical sites including the remains of the Hikina Akala Heiau, a Hawaiian temple that dates as far back as 800 A.D. The beach park?s main attraction is the large, double-sectioned pool on the northern end of the beach which is protected from ocean swells by an artificial rock barrier. The inner pool is shallow and ideal for children, while the outer pool is deeper and great for swimming and snorkeling. The rock wall barriers ensure that the beach maintains tame, small waves. A 2.5 mile walking/jogging/biking path runs past Lydgate Park, perfect for sunset strolls or the fitness-minded.
Kaha Lani 213 - Private top floor corner 2 bedroom condo with unobstructed views of Wailua Bay on the Coconut Coast. Watch the sunrise and whales (in season) from your private lanai. Recent updates with two queen beds, portable crib, free high speed wireless internet, cable TV, DVD and CD players, fully equipped kitchen, lanai table and chairs, and beach equipment. There is a coin-operated laundry room in the complex. Kaha Lani Resort has a swimming pool, BBQ area, tennis courts, and is surrounded by parks, golf course and play grounds. Step outside and use the Coastal hike and bike trail or take a short walk to Lydgate Park to swim and snorkel in protected areas. Enjoy the serenity and convenience of this unit, only minutes from the Lihue Airport and nearby shopping.

stay at Kaha Lani A guest from Winnipeg, Manitoba recommends this property.
Stayed for 28 days in February, 2016 This is a great location, accessible to all areas of the island. The property itself is quiet and secluded. The unit was well appointed and equipped with all that we needed.Very comfortable. This was our fourth trip here and will not be our last. Since I can compare with other units we have stayed in, the management team for this one was very professional and a pleasure to deal with.
Awesome Vacation Brian J. from Duluth, MN recommends this property.
Stayed for 10 days in January, 2016 Kaha Lani 213 was very nice and clean. Excellent location, we loved staying there and would stay there again. The unit could use a little TLC for the upstairs shower door and some of the window openers are broken. These are minor in my book and would not stop me from renting this unit again. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review our condo! Glad your stay was a good one. The windows are a problem, but fortunately they will all be replaced in April! I will have someone look into the shower door issue. I hope you can come back and enjoy our bit of paradise again!
Christmas in Kapaa Irene O. from cardiff, California recommends this property.
Stayed for 12 days in December, 2015 This unit had everthing we needed. It was close to shopping, had a great view of the water and sunrise, was clean, quiet, and roomy for the 5 of us. Kapaa had several wonderful restaurants but did a lot of cooking in the unit.Lydgate park was a few minutes walk and great for the 5 year old. Wonderful vacation.
Great Family Condo A guest from Auburn, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in September, 2015 Great location! The condo is within walking distance from the Lydgate play area and protected swim/snorkel area. Other than loud maintenance (they were painting and replacing doors on the condos next to us while we were there), it was an ideal location for our families. Since we traveled with 2 infants & a toddler, we also rented baby equipment to supplement the pack n play provided by the condo. I would highly recommend Babylicious for any baby equipment needs in Kauai. Their giant tub of toddler toys was a lifesaver. Also, we thoroughly enjoyed the sand toys and beach equipment provided by the condo.
great stay by the ocean. Dan P. from Wemme, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in September, 2015 We overall pleased by the location, amenities, and quality of the condo we stayed in. it was a little dated but very clean, kad snorkels and all kinds of gear for the beaches and that is why we wernt11 HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT AND IT HAS A GREAT VIEW111
Great Place James R. M. from Andrews, NC recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in September, 2015 We found the rental to be clean and comfortable. It is in a great location, about 5 miles from Lihue airport and a couple of miles from Kapa'a. A very good place to stay.
Kaha Lani Bob B. from Ojibwa, WI recommends this property.
Stayed for 42 days in June, 2015 Enjoyed our stay at this property. Great location, very convenient to everything. Furnishings were comfortable and in good condition. Able to walk to snorkeling at Lydgate Park. Convenient to both Lihue and Kapaa. We were here for six weeks, so we had plenty of time to just relax on the lanai. Owners provided many amenities and the property was clean and very well maintained. We would have been happier with a king size bed in the upper bedroom, but overall, very satisfied with the unit.
great place for Land lovers Missy H. from St. John's, NL recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in May, 2015 we stayed at Kaha Lani 213 from May 16-24 2015. the unit itself is great. we were a bit surprised upon arrival that there was no air conditioning.after traveling from Maui we initially wondered how we would manage without AC for a week, but we quickly learned that it was not an issue. with the windows open there is always enough of a cool breeze to keep a comfortable temperature.we were really looking forward to a beachfront property for the Kauai leg of our trip, but were a bit disappointed to discover that the water near the condo was far too rough to swim in safely. this is not a problem with the condo itself, but much of kauai in fact has very rough and potentially dangerous waters in which visitors are advised not to swim due to strong currents, rough waves and rip tides. the good news is there are lots of great activity options on land. the condo is on a bike trail and kauai has an excellent bike trail that goes all along the coast. bike rentals are cheap and easily available.the property management was very good - we locked ourselves out of the unit and had to call Dale, the property guy, who had to dive across the island to bring us a new key - but he didn't take long and was very friendly. I do warn though that if you need assistance with your unit, afterhours or otherwise, the on-site management company will not do anything to help you.we really liked this unit, it was very well appointed and clean, but next time we might try some place more suited to swimming and surfing.
Love it!! Kim J. from Prescott, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in January, 2015 We have stayed in this rental 3 years running and we simply love it! The view is fantastic! The condo is well appointed and functional. We would highly recommend staying here!!
Gorgeous Ocean View! A guest from Sherwood Park, Alberta does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 5 days in December, 2014 Unit is every well stocked with kitchen amenities, very clean, no bugs of any kind. Really wish the owners had followed through with their commitment to fix the lanai screens and sliding door, so very annoying, as they fall off the track and are nearly impossible to get back on! Otherwise would have given this unit a 5 star rating. The unit has a stunning stunning ocean view, if the doors were fixed we would absolutely go back there. Also would recommend more to a friend if this issue was addressed.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals Owner's response: We sincerely apologize for the annoying screen door that falls off. We have had it repaired several times trying to baby it through until we could order the new slider. We've discovered that finding the right contractor and working through all the red tape with the homeowner's association can take months. After nine months, we finally got our approval last week and a new slider will be installed in early April.
Paradise! Jim V. from Gilbert, AZ recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 Perfect condo on the beach! Can't wait to go back! Every night I fell asleep listening to the ocean right outside my window! This condo was perfect for our vacation! We loved the area it was in. The beaches here were not crowded, you felt like you had miles of beaches to yourself.
Great place to stay! Dennis A. from Portland, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 14 days in June, 2014 For me it was the perfect place to stay! I loved walking along the beach (cement) path. All the grounds were well kept and a great view from the condo and the loud sound of the ocean at all times was heavenly!
Excellent Experience A guest from White Rock, BC recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in April, 2014 Super accomodations. Especially liked the location. Screen door was off the track when we arrived, tried to fix but it is too weather worn. It's obvious the owners really care about their place and its reputation. We could tell that they were on top of everything. Only issue was I called the clean-up people a couple of times to confirm a late check-out and never got a response. The late check-out was successful but would of liked to have it confirmed ahead of time for peace of mind. Loved Kauai and where we stayed. Maureen & Richard, White Rock, British Columbia,
First (but not last) Hawiian vacation! Jeff E. from Miles City, Montana recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in February, 2014 We were very happy with the location. Was nice to be close to the airport and easy to find with the directions, due to a late evening flight. The unit was very comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. The only problems we found was the sliding door screens, the location of the lock box(didn't see the new one right away on the wall, couldn't get the one one the door to work) the one on the door should be removed, a little trying after a long flight and at night in the dark. The ants were a problem at first(fastest I have ever seen) but we just keep everything in the fridge and all was well. We weren't going to let the little things bother us during our stay! We had a great time and recommend the location to anyone! Thank You! Jeff E.
Wet Hawaian Holiday Richard C. from Palatine, IL recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in February, 2014 We had a good time in Hawaii, not great because of the weather, it rained a lot. We took an ATV tour that was GREAT and went on a tube ride that was fun. The condo was very nice and sitting on the lani watching for whales in the morning was relaxing. The only problem was that both towel racks in the bathrooms were loose and the one upstairs came off and one sliding screen door was off the track.
Love this place! Kim J. from Prescott, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in January, 2014 This condo is perfectly situatated on the Island of Kauai. We absolutely love the location and the condo complex. We hope to be able to continue making yearly stays in this condo. It feels like home! Aloha!!
great place A guest from Austin, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in January, 2014 We had a wonderful time at Kaha Lani 213! Just yards from the beach and a wonderful sunrise view. The unit is in overall good condition but may need some upgrades in the future (bathrooms, screen door). The owners seem aware of the situation and have already updated the kitchen. We were there with our two kids (2, 4) and loved every minute of it. Great location since it is close to the airport but no noise and in between the north and south shore. Plenty of beach towels and beach toys for our use in storage and everything seemed clean. The laundry room is right outside the downstairs bed/bathroom, so expect some noise in that area. The upstairs bedroom has a dream view and you will fall asleep to the sound of the waves!
Great location. Great condo. A guest from Churchville, PA recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in December, 2013 Beautiful complex with laundry nearby. Right on beautiful beach near one of best family beaches. Great ocean breezes and central to all major tourist areas especially the Smith Family Luau and the Sacred River. Midway between the Canyon in one direction and Na Pali cliffs in the other. Great stay.
Wonderful stay but the management needs to go Christine S. from Capitola, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in November, 2013 The location and condo itself was amazing! I would definitely consider going back to this location with my son as it is perfect for anyone with the family. However the check in and check out process left much to be desired. The key box upon arrival was jammed and it took three and half hours for someone to come out and let me and my one year old in. When I requested a late check out from housekeeping, no one called me back. A little change in the personnel and the whole experience would've been perfect.
Gorgeous view, great location A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 11 days in November, 2013 The condo was comfortable and quiet. It was a wonderful part of the experience to be able to hear the ocean waves crashing on the shore, right from the bedroom. The kitchen was well-equipped. Wifi worked well. That being said, the condo does need some maintenance and upkeep: things were pretty corroded from the salty air and could use cleaning, towel racks in the bathroom are falling apart. Beach equipment closet on the lanai is a total mess and has broken, unusable chairs, umbrellas, etc. Some kind of instructions and guide to the TV channels would have been very helpful. It was impossible to figure out. Lots of little annoyances kept an otherwise lovely condo from being ideal.
First trip to Kauai A guest from West Linn, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in November, 2013 Good central location steps from the beach. Convenient with easy walk to swim park. At least during our stay the ocean was not safe to swim in so the beach park being within walking distance was a plus. Easy driving around the island in either direction. Quiet complex as well. I would recommend this condo.
From Fairbanks AK A guest from Fairbanks, AK does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 14 days in October, 2013 Property needs maintenance-lanai screen door broken, wi-fi sporadic, windows and blinds are broken. Kitchen beautiful tho and love the location.
Lovely place John B. from Conroe, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in September, 2013 Very quiet and tranquil. Loved to hear the ocean at night when we went to bed. The whole area is beautiful. The weather was great. Its a very green island with nice waterfalls.
Above average rental condo A guest from Benicia, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 This was our first time in Hawaii - we have rented vacation condos in california, and this condo was nicer/cleaner than most we have rented. The fridge was not working when we arrived, but the management company addressed this very fast - installing a new fridge within 24 hours (in Kauai, on a weekend - no mean feat!)Location turned out to be ideal - equidistant from North and South Shore attractions, with a great beach (albeit with rough surf) right in front and a 24 hour safeway 5 minutes away. We plan to come back
Family fun in the sun Marc B. from Livermore, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 Great location to access anything on the island with in 45 min at most. The grounds are great. The staff is friendly. The property is a little dated and they need to make some simple repairs and changes to make this place top notch. Number one thing that bothered me was the bottom bed room wicker furniture has a very odd smell and is stinking the room up. Other than that the family had a great time and stay. Don't have high expectations of the place and you will have a great time. oh and carful the sliding door..... you'll see what I mean.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals Owner's response (6/15/13): Glad you enjoyed your visit! Thanks for the comments. This helps us to know what needs attention. Happy to report we recently returned from a visit and spent 10 days thoroughly cleaning, shopping (including a new stove), and getting repairs done, especially the lanai door. New kitchen coming soon!
ok review A guest from Comfrey, MN does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 The property generally was clean. The Lani door has to have some work done on it. Very nice pool, and easy to get to either the north or south sides of the island. After the first two days the weather was perfect.
overall good, especially if one is looking for something quiet Terrence L. from Richmond, BC recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 Location is good if you are wanting something quiet and private. overall good, minor things nothing too major
Kauai in 3 days A guest from Winsor, ON recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in February, 2013 Kaha Lani 213 was our base for our trip to Kauai. It was central for travelling and close to the airport. We enjoyed our stay there. A suggestion: leave the porch/entry way light on so that the keypad can be seen. We used our cellphone but could not see the keypad very well.We only spoke with the property management company only for making the reservation.NAME DISPLAY (below) A guest from WINDSOR ON (d is missing from Windsor)
The condo could use some up grading and repairs A guest from Farmington, NM recommends this property.
Stayed for 17 days in February, 2013 Aside from some repairs that we worked around the location was great and the staff was friendly and professional, the door wall to the lanai needs repair or replacement and the stove needs repair, all the burners did not work.
Highly recommended condo Mistee V. from Juneau, Alaska recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in December, 2012 I wiill definantely recommend and rent this condo again. The location, overall condition of the condo, and a nightly sercurity guard were major highlights. There were only minor maintenance issues we found annoying, but did not greatly impact our experience here. The annoying maintenance issues include how we had to use boards in order to close the sliding glass door, door stoppers did not work, and window handles fell off. There were also small appliances that were older than I am, did not function very well, and I would suggest to be replaced: coffee pot, microwave, and blender. Overall, we will most likely rent this condo again next time we visit the island. Plus it has a wonderful view and were able to watch whales from the lanai.
Kana Lani 213 - good value for the $$ Keitha P. from Mesa, AZ recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in November, 2012 Great location with great access to Lydgate Beach. Perfect for young families. Convenient parking, beautiful unobstructed views of ocean. Condo was equipped with everything you would need to enjoy your vacation i.e. beach equipment, kitchen supplies, bedding/towels. Had enjoyable vacation and would return. Thanks to Cathy/Sandy for the easy booking and quick responses to all our questions.
Great location & facility for a family vacation A guest from Albany, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in October, 2012 Centrally located on Kauai island, Kaha Lani Resort offers a serene environment near Lydgate Park & Beach, which is the best snorkeling spot for young children. Well maintained grounds with trees, flowers, and lots of grass area. Amenities include a laundry room, gas BBQ grills, and a decent-size heated pool. This particular unit has a full ocean view (slightly recessed) and a master bedroom/bathroom upstairs. Furnishing is simple yet tasteful and extremely functional. Highly recommended.
Great unit...a few problems A guest from Lenoir City, TN recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in September, 2012 We found the unit very clean and well supplied...we kept it that way, gladly. We loved the location and unit! Some problems: Ahh Aloha Kauai failed to provide a parking pass (The Kaha Lani staff provided one, but said they do not service renters.) Jennie, we were told, would provide help in finding things...she could not give info. on the walking/bike path nor give clear directions to find things (did not know street names, for ex.) and was disappointed that we had made reservations on our own. We called and left a message for David about the sliding glass door and screens that fell off their tracks; he never called back. We called again and got a woman who took note. We later found out that the new owners are in process of renovating.
