Driving up the hill, which is surrounded by silver shining olive groves you arrive at “Al Colletto” being a villa which dates back to the 16th century and was originally used as a hunting lodge. Once you reach the top and by passing the gate in the stone wall (which is surrounding the whole property) you will have access to a real treasure. The beautiful garden is divided in four squares, three of them with well-kept lawns, delicate flowers, lemon trees in large terracotta pots and oleander bushes, while the fourth part is given over the swimming pool (set in earth, 7.5m x 4.20m, deep: 1.10m). Guests may relax marvellously in this garden, sun-bath, have a swim in the pool or just enjoy the outdoor life to the full by having a dinner in the with climbing vines covered pergola which is giving a pleasant shade and is equipped with a table, chairs and a barbecue and all this in a complete private atmosphere, in a agreeable ambiance and with stunning views on the wide hilly countryside. Within short distance from this little paradise you may explore the historic places – the art towns of this region such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence, which are a visit worth or enjoy lovely sunsets on the long white sandy beaches of the Versilia.
The holiday home is composed of: spacious entrance on the ground floor with 2 armchairs, living room with couch, armchairs, fireplace, TV, through a stone arch access to a dining kitchen with dining table, stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bathroom with shower, wc, bidet, 1 laundry room with washing machine, iron, iron board, fridge, freezer, stone stairway to the 1st floor: 1 double bedroom with integrated bathroom with shower, wc, bidet, 1 double bedroom (2 single beds pushed together), 1 bathroom with tub/shower, wc, bidet, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and en suite bathroom with shower, wc, bidet, 1 room which remains locked up. All bedrooms have a splendid panoramic view onto the garden and the nice surroundings. Al Colletto has been furnished with great taste, the style and partially antique furniture, the ceiled beaming and terracotta tiled floors submit a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The caretakers live on the 2nd floor. The enter into the apartment by using an external stairway (on the side of the house) and separate entrance. The caretakers are very helpful and respect obviously the guests’ privacy. A cleaning service EUR 10.00/hour is available on request.
