Lovely secluded house on the lake
Alice D. from Baltimore, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2016 We were only there for 2 nights and had a lovely time despite the fact it rained the entire time. However, we had cozy indoor time with the fireplace on and great view of the lake. The house was very spacious with decent size rooms. We were 5 adults and 4 children and there were more than enough room. Before we booked I was concerned by one review that the trek from the house to the lake was steep and hard. I didn't think it was that bad at all - no complaints !even from our youngest member 2 years old! The house was fully stocked with kitchen utensils, cookware, washing liquid etc.....however, we could have done with extra toilet paper! With everyone using the toilet on the main floor, we ran out of paper very quickly!
Michael N. from West Chester, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2015 Rented the "Timberlake" property through Deep Creek Vacation Rentals and my family and I very much enjoyed our time. This property is optimally situated at the northern end of the lake, close to many activities for children and adults alike (zip line, go-carts, golf, fishing, wave runner and boat rentals w/ tubing/skiing and more.) 5 minute drive to local shopping and gas stations. Timberlake property had PLENTY of room for a family of 6 but could've accommodated easily and comfortably another 2-4 persons. Nothing sub-standard to report but a few notable items:*only 1 working television on the basement floor (would've preferred two, with one on the main floor)*garbage disposal would've been a plus*steep hill up/down to the lake and dock - not for the faint of heart or those with breathing conditions. With that said, the privacy afforded by the property was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our week spent here!
Christopher W. from Arlington, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2014 Great house! Very clean. Would absolutely recommend both the property and the management company to a friend.
A guest from Dayton, OH does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2014 Timberlake is a lovely, spacious home and has the best equipped kitchen of any home I've rented! It is decorated perfectly for a mountain home and the furnishings were very comfortable. The land is beautiful. We did have 2 big negatives. The driveway is in terrible condition - rock was dumped on it and not rolled down, so every ride up was frightening and caused much stress that was certainly not needed. And the other problem was the motor on the fridge was extremely loud. Maintenance was called as soon as we entered the home at 5pm. They arrived around noon the next day, said that they had it working much quieter (not) and had notified owner to see if they wanted to replace. Heard nothing else, except the very loud fridge. It was so bad we turned it off while cooking and during meals. It's a shame that 2 maintenance issues hurt what would have been an excellent stay.
DENNIS C. from MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OH does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2014 we loved every minute of our stay 3 nights at the timberlake house ... amazing, relaxing and beautiful location!! the house was clean!! one thing we were disappointed that we had VERY hard time to drive up the driveway!we were not prepared for their STEEP driveway filled with lots loose gravel.. we have SUV but was very hard for us to get out of the driveway after several times.. so when my kids came, they parked on top of the driveway and us too whole weekend LUCKY there was a flat area to park 3 cars .. we had good workout to carry all our stuff and suitcases, coolers up to the top street!! :( their gravel driveway should be pounded flat and hard for easy drive up and down the STEEP driveway

Diana H. from Olney, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 The weather over the weekend was the perfect temperature for hiking, building a fire, mixing a martini. The girls' weekend was a total success.
Pat C. from Gahanna, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 Great house. Too bad we could not use the kayak or canoe. The walk up the hill is hard for elderly and the description should say it. Lots of bed space. Great kitchen and supplies. The rental company changed the rules but was ok
Linda C. from Southold, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 Nothing in ad described a steep hill that would be very difficult for many older individuaks to climb. This should be part of each property description.
