ALOHA AND WELCOME TO HALE KAI # 104
THE MERMAID COVE
Step back in Maui time, and visit romantic old Hawai?i during your stay at this unique condo lovingly referred to as the ?Mermaid Cove?.
When entering the Mermaid Cove, (Hale Kai #104),
the tropical and colorful décor will welcome you. To our guests delight, the water?s edge is 50 ft. from the lanai. This unit has reflecting mirrors which offer views of the ocean from the kitchen, living room and dinette table (not shown in these pictures).
From the lanai, you will experience sunsets, low reef tide pools, gentle surf and spectacular views of Lanai and Molokai, Maui?s outer islands. Instead of a flat ocean horizon, every day the cloud patterns change over these 3 islands. You will also be able to look across to the park and watch people carry their outrigger canoes, spear fishing gear and kite boards to the sea. The green sea turtles (Honu) feed off the reef and, in the winter, the humpback whales arrive from Alaska and can be seen from the pool deck.

For your added comfort, we supply beach towels, hair dryers, a CD music library and DVD player, free WI-FI, free parking, BBQ?s close to the pool deck, custom king bed and sofa bed in the living room.
Sleep with the Hawaiian trade winds blowing through this heavenly condo. In this vacation unit, the breezes blow from north to south through the tropical louver windows and the front door through to the lanai; ceiling fans offer additional comfort.

Perfect Location Ellen & John N. from Prince George, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 21 days in April, 2013 Hale Kai has a great location. #104 suited us but would not please some of our friends. It could be a bit cleaner eg. bathroom corners and shower. Coffee maker and toaster should be replaced. Bedding was clean but one sheet had a small hole in it. It all seems a bit in need of updating. Everything else was fine. We would stay there again. |

Stayed for 15 days in February, 2013 The Hale Kai is a lovely condo property, with a nice, friendly staff (Valerie). However, their new reservation 'system' doesn't seem to work as described. We've been staying here for many years and have been booking our next year's visit when we arrive each year. 'Should work', according to their new reservation setup, but it does not. Our unit was already booked for next year - and there were only limited options for rental of other units at that time. We feel that the Hale Kai's new system does not reward the regular 'year after year' visitor, the visitors that most resorts would love to see. I do hope they work on improving how their reservations are handled, as we'd like to continue staying at the Hale Kai in the future. |

Stayed for 3 days in January, 2013 It was a short trip which we have planned to Hawaii and 104 was the perfect one for a couple It had all the amenities and had perfect view of ocean park.The best part was the porch and open modern kitchen.The staff were friendly thank you Valerie for making our stay most splendid. Hale Kai# 104 is best way to raise the Aloha sprite. |

A charming place by the sea. A guest from Colleyville, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 21 days in January, 2013 We have been coming to 104 for many years. In our opinion it has the best view of the park and ocean of any of the ground floor condos. Having said that, the condo is becoming a bit seedy. The carpet needed to be cleaned while we were there as it was so dirty. Thank you, Valerie! The bed is extremely uncomfortable and I do not recommend it to anyone with back or hip problems. There are also too many knick knacks in the apartment that gives it a cluttered look. Regardless, we will return next January. |

The condo has an unobstructed view of the ocean and sunsets. We could always watch whales from the lani or the pool deck and one day we had a sea lion come up on the rocks and sun itself all day long. Most morning found sea turtles playing in surf 40 feet from our lani. Just a wonderful experience. Good value A guest from Glenbrook, Nsw recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in November, 2012 The view from the pool deck outstanding, right on the water- the turtles beautiful. Our apartment had a very uncomfortable bed and the fan in the bedroom didn't work so getting a toddler to sleep was very difficult in the humid conditions. Other condo owners lovely and staff very friendly too- good bus access to whalers village. |

Awesome Location A guest from Arlington, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 21 days in June, 2012 Spactactular views from a Maui condo as close to the Pacific as you can get. Hale Kai has a pool that touches the ocean ! You can't buy a better view of the sunset. Enjoyed our stay and will be back again. Unit #104 is well maintained and has a spacious bathroom and open modern kitchen.
