Rebecca C. from Arlington, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2016 The house was clean and in great shape when we arrived. We had a great time as the location is right in the middle of lots of activities. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes. I would suggest bringing your own towels as the ones on the property are very worn and falling apart. I would definitely recommend staying here and hoping that we will be back soon.
A guest from Martinsburg, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2016 We escaped to Canasn Valley for a couple of reasons; first to look at wedding venues with my daughter and her fiancé, and second, to decompress a bit as moved from one job to another.
Valerie C. from Elkview, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2015 Snow Much Fun was the perfect size for our family of 5 and we were able to bring our dog along. The condo was very clean and the kitchen was furnished quite well considering we were preparing Thanksgiving dinner there. I agree with previous reviews that there needs to be additional seating in the living room so you're not sitting on top of each other the whole time. I suggest bringing your own pillows for reasons of comfort and hygiene. We walked to the ski lift/lodge just to see where it was as this wasn't a ski trip - easy walk. Even though there are quite a few units, it was still quiet and felt private. Overall, we considered it a success!
Carol V. from Montgomery, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2015 It was fantastic. The rental staff is great, the place was great, and we had lots of activities. There was white water, horse back riding, zip lines, hiking and swimming, and biking.
Brian B. from Washington, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 nice place to stay. Improvements need to been done such as screens in all windows so when it is HOT you can cool the house off upstairs much easier. Blinds on downstairs windows need not to be ramed into the top so they can beused to keep sun out. you enter the house from the utility room and not the front door. Needs weeds cleared from under porch and around the back of the place.
A guest from Fairfax, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2015 Our second stay in Snow Much Fun was great!! We really enjoyed watching the deer grazing as we soaked in the hot tub. The folks at Best of Canaan are great to work with!
A guest from Alexandria, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2014 Nice getaway for a family Christmas. Good location, easy parking, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. They need a few more comfortable seats tho (it sleeps 6 and only room for 4 in living room unless you pull over hard dining room chairs and the wifi gets knocked out if you want to watch a DVD since not enough plugs. Need to at least get an electrical strip by the TV so this doesn't happen. Overall tho we had a wonderful time in this nice but fairly basic rental.
Joan D. from Silver Spring, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2014 The house lived up to its name by providing us with so much snow and so much fun while there. The home is comfortable and inviting. We loved every minute of our time at Snow Much Fun. Also a big shout out to Best of Canaan -- they are all terrific -- nice, immediately responsive and caring. Good choice for management!!!!!
A guest from Potomac Falls, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2014 Snow Much Fun was excellent for what we were looking for; Location near both Canaan Valley resort and Timberline. Though walking to Timberline is advertised as a possible, we thought it was a little too far to trudge to the slopes in ski boots, so we chose to take the short drive to the parking area - no big deal. To get to Canaan was a 10 minute drive; very convenient if you want to ski both resorts. The house itself is attractive, though basic in terms of décor. The kitchen has all the essentials you?ll need for your stay.If I had a complaint, it would be that the hot tub (for which you are required to pay an extra $50.00 for whether you use it or not) was not as clean as it should have been and the circulation motor ran constantly. The motor was a bit noisy and it?s right outside the master bedroom. Also, it was a bit hard to regulate the temperature throughout the house. If we set the thermometer to be comfortable downstairs, it became too hot upstairs; even though they have separate thermostats in the two bedrooms upstairs ? heat rises. All that said, I would recommend the house to anyone with 7 or less to accommodate, though 6 is really a better number, since the futon in the loft is not really too comfortable. We will likely rent the house ourselves again next year.
A guest from Charlottesville, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2014 The Woods End subdivision is relatively close to the slopes - a short, but easy walk (and you can even ski back home if there is enough natural snow on the ground). The house is well suited for a family, comfortable beds, nicely stocked kitchen, and they accept pets. The hot tub is nice for after skiing relaxation. Given the proximity to the slopes, this house is a real bargain, even on holiday weekends.
A guest from McLean, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2013 would be wonderful if beds were higher quality, but most rentals do not have great beds.We had gorgeous winter weather and enjoyed the house so much we extended our stay by an extra 2 nights.
Amit J. from Chantilly, Virginia recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2013 We had a good stay at Snow Much Fun in Canaan Valley, WV. I would love to go back there if the owners/management take care of the following 2 things:1. Extremely Slow Internet - If it had not snowed so much we would not have cared so much but the kids and adults could hardly watch a movie online using the internet connection available.2. Issues with Hot Tub - We used the hot tub just twice during the whole stay. The temp would keep dropping and had to call the management to get that fixed. After the fix we tried it again and it ran for sometime but then abruptly shutdown. There were some minor issues with the fireplace but management took care of everything promptly.
LeJay G. from Bruceton Mills, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2013 The property was perfect for our purposes. The crumbs in the cracks of the rustic table were unappetizing and hard to clean. Overall, we were very satisfied.
Stanley S. from piscataway, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2013 Started off without any heat and sliding glass handle broken and door off of its track so you could not open it. However, everything was quickly fixed.
A guest from Rio Honde, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 30 days in September, 2013 Had a great time. The setting is beautiful with lots of maple trees around for gorgeous fall color. The kitchen is well equipped if you don't plan to cook much. No mixer, I bought a small grater, took my own coffee grinder - little things like that. It's quiet and I loved having the fireplace in the evenings. I spent a month there and was NOT ready to leave.
A guest from Beavercreek, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 It was a beautiful location. Inside was beautiful also and very well equipped. The hot tub was a godsend as we didn't find the beds very comfortable, but that would be our only complaint. If we go to again we would stay there again
Patrick T. from Southfield, Michigan recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 This was a last minute family vacation planned before our children started school. It was an awesome experience for our family. We were close to all of the attractions. This place was definitely a home away home. Very comfortable and family fun!! Best Canaan gave awesome customer service before and during our stay.
Bonnie H. from Conneaut, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 Our stay started out not so good but the problem was promptly fixed. I must say that the rental reality was very helpfull in any way they could be.
Reviewed by: Deb S. recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 We enjoyed our 3 nights of calm, quiet, and cooler temps. We felt like we were away for a week. Very relaxing, the home was very easy.
