Beachers Lodge Room 206 A guest from Milton, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 Location was great, right on the beach. We were able to reserve quickly, and the 24/7 service via phone was nice. The room was NOT clean upon arrival. There was urine in the toilet and the floors were dirty. We left it cleaner than we found it. But there were no bugs, the location was great, and it was inexpensive, so overall it was worthwhile. We weren't given the code to get through the locked gate to the beach, so we had to call about that. Also, the sign on the back of our door said "checkout at 11 am", but housekeeping arrived at 10 am and said checkout was supposed to be at 10. However, they were nice about it and let us stay the extra hour and get our things together. We had a good time. great location, lots of fees, older condo A guest from Lexington, KY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2012 Great location. Rental fees included $100 / night for condo, $38 / night it add-on fees, $12 / taxes. Condo is an older unit that has experienced some water damage. Had a mold smell. We received 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 trash bag. We called to get more, which were promised but never delivered. Less than enjoyable A guest from Bluefield, WV does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2012 Bedroom carpet damp and smelled bad. Advertised as non smoking yet smelled of smoke and dirty ashtrays on balcony. Microwave oven door burned. Plastic melted on toaster oven. Wrong access code given for beach access. Bathroom shower pull broken. Sand on bed comforter. Paid $95 cleaning fee but did not look or smell like it was very well cleaned. Paid $100 pet fee but while we kept pet enclosed others obviously had not. Disappointed! Linda H. from Delray Beach, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 Booked my stay at Beachers Lodge based on info from Vacation Rental Pros website. Oh how disappointing it was! To Vacation Pro's credit, their people are very responsive and when I couldn't get the lockbox open, a property manager was dispatched in no time flat, and even though I discovered that it was me, not the lock box, he remained exceptionally gracious. As for the property itself, ICK! The furniture smelled a bit musty, the rugs were just yucky to put my feet on - really needed a cleaning and the window AC unit in the bedroom let the outdoor light shine through. That meant that the indoors was humid and my clothes, the bedding and the furniture were always damp. I phoned Vacation Pros to ask if I could get a day refunded by checking out early (had booked a 3 day stay) and was told no, no refunds, period. Well I went ahead and left a day early anyway, by 10am checkout, made sure to leave the unit in good shape and let VP know I was out of there. I will ask again for a refund or at least a partial refund. After having no time off for about a year, I just wanted a few quiet, enjoyable days. I'm sad to say that just isn't what I got. Lesson learned not to trust that what you see on the internet is what you're going to get. Beach front with beach & pool view A guest from Springfield, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 The location on Crescent Beach is excellent, a short walk on the dune walkway to the beach. There are lifeguards stationed close by on the beach. Ample parking and the pool was nice. The room was very nicely appointed, but showed signs of age in the kitchen and the bathroom. It is nice to find a good place to stay that is pet friendly. We would definitely return in the future.
