This property is a great place for large families to relax and play at the coveted "Big Rideau Lake". From this property you will enjoy beautiful sunsets, great fishing, large yard for campfires and other summer fun, and a fantastic waterfront that is excellent for swimming and water sports!
The Rideau Canal is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and was rated #2 as an exceptional historic site destination by National Geographic.
The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots of activities, and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, parties, and lots more!
This cottage is conveniently located not far off of highway #15 at the halfway point between Toronto and Montreal, 30 minutes from the Canada/USA border, and only one hour and 15 minutes from Ottawa. A great place for extended Families to congregate.

This property is located in cottage country with easy road access, just off of highway #15 between Smith's Falls and Kingston, two minutes from the harbour town or Portland, 10 minutes to Newboro and Kilborn's store (popular shopping place), beaches and hiking trails are within minutes, and 20 minutes to Historic town of Westport. 8 golf courses are also within a short drive.
Cottage is equipped with 4 bedrooms, two boathouses, great large private country lot, and a canoe and a row-boat.
Bedroom #1 has a double bed, bedroom #2 has a double bed, bedroom #3 has one queen bed and a single bed, and bedroom #4 has a double bed and a set of bunk beds. linen service is included! Renters must bring their own towels, or they can be rented for $15/person (this includes three face-cloths, three hand towels, three bath towels, and one bath mat).

Cancellation Policy:
A cancellation made by the Renter shall be in writing and addressed to Rideau Lakes Property Management at the address stated at the top of the booking application form. Cancellation can also be emailed and will be considered accepted once a confirmation reply is received. On receipt of such notice of cancellation, we shall endeavour to re-book the holiday accommodation for the period of the original booking.
If we are successful in rebooking the holiday accommodation for the entire period originally booked, we will refund to the Renter all monies paid (whether deposit or full payment has been made) less an administration fee of $100.00 per period booked.
If we are unable to re-book your holiday accommodation, then all monies paid by the Renter (whether deposit or full payment has been made) shall be forfeited.
If we are unable to arrange the rental of the Property, due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disaster, we will attempt to arrange alternative holiday accommodation of a similar type and cost and standard and in a similar location as that originally requested by the Renter. If the alternative holiday accommodation and/or rate is not acceptable to the Renter, we shall refund in full to the Renter all monies paid by him/her to Rideau Lakes Property Management. Requests by the Renter to switch to different cottages other than the ones that have already been booked by renter, will be provided only if the original booking property/time can be re-booked, and it will result in an additional administrative charge of $50.00.
Terms and Conditions:
Reservation is secured with a 30% deposit paid via personal cheque (if time permits) direct deposit, or email money transfer, completed renter's contract (forwarded with booking information), and post-dated cheques for the balance of rent and security deposit.
Security deposit cheque will be held in trust and not cashed unless needed to due to damages or cleaning expenses incurred.
If no damages or cleaning fees are to be with-held, the Security Deposit cheque will be mailed back, marked void within one month of check-out.
Rent consists of the rent amount with taxes included, plus a cleaning fee of $88.50+HST.
