This cottage is found in a very secluded spot in Ilztal, a romantic valley between Dreiflüssestadt Passau and the Bavarian National Park forest. Cottage Bärenhöhle holds three sleeping rooms with a total of nine beds (extra beds possible). The comfortable living room features satellite TV, a telephone, a couch, a dining section, and a wood stove. The large kitchen includes a dining table. The bathroom comes with a tub and a toilet. There is also a storeroom.

The Bärenhöhle ("Bear Cave") cottage is found in a perfectly secluded spot in the beautiful landscape of River Ilz. It is accessible only by a dirt road. You can go hiking or cycling directly from this location: the excellent Goldsteig Trail linking Passau to Oberpfalz is nearby.

For fish anglers, this holiday home constitutes an even more ideal accommodation. A fly fishing trail starts right to the house. From March to April, you can go kayaking under good conditions. In summer you can observe coypus (nutrias) refresh themselves in the river. There is a small sandy beach for relaxation.
