Our house is a beautiful half-timbered building at the heart of the Kochshof. From here opens to the south of the Arnsberg Forest and the Sauerland, in the north stretches the Haarstrang and the fertile Soester Plain gently down to the Lippe region. From the garden you can look down into the Möhnetal and upon the green slopes of the Arnsberg Forest.

Due to the very old construction style, the house is unfortunately not handicapped accessible. Smoking is allowed in the garden. No dogs.

Kochshof is the ideal starting point for extensive cycle and hiking tours. Also water sports enthusiasts and kayakers get their chance, because nearby the beautiful river Möhne forms the Möhnesee lake. Even the Lippe and its natural floodplain are not far.

A 44 until exit "Soest-Ost, Lower Mountain Home," then direction Niederbergheim B516, turn right after 9 km turn left into Oberbergheim. About 1 km on the Oberbergheimer road.

Kochshof is located along the trail of Sauerland GV. Nature invites to long walks, biking, horseback riding or Nordic Walking. Also it's not too far to the Rothaarsteig Brilon.

The nearby Möhnesee, the Westphalian lake, invites you for swimming, sailing, surfing or a trip around the bike to the newly opened trail. Several beach baths offer plenty of swimming.

Anglers find excellent opportunities in the Mohne in Niederbergheim for fly-fishing. Visit the ancient Hanseatic City of Soest and enjoy the historic city center with the world cultural heritage "Wieskirche." Relax afterwards in one of cozy inns of the city, partly with its own brewery. In autumn is the city's carnival, the largest city-center fair in Europe, the Allerheiligenkirmes.

In Soest you will find extensive spa services. The spa and the spa gardens offer peace around the salt works. A visit to the Warsteiner Brewery provides an insight into the production of one of the most famous beers in the world.
