Green luxury in one of the area’s prettiest monuments, the Gutschow house, an important example of Historismus (Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance) architecture, built 1895 and the landmark building in the South of the Friedrichstrasse. Today, thanks to “green” housing policies, the owners of the building are an apartment renter and migrant from Georgia along with two former bank CEOs. Gutschow House
The Gutschow house is an important representative of Historismus (Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance) of 1895, with an elaborate façade and quite some history. It is the only house in the southern Friedrichstrasse which survived the war unscathed.
