We offer a choice of different ambiance in the different vacation apartments. Depending on desired room size and taste, you can rent the vacation apartments Kornkammer (corn chamber, 28 sq.m.), Heuboden (hay loft, 56 or 44 sq.m.), Speicher (loft, 106 sq.m.), Kutscherwohnung (coachman’s apartment, 90 sq.m.) or Senatorenwohnung (Senator’s apartment, 74 sq.m.).

The garden offers seating and playgrounds for young and old and many possibilities, whether you want to relax, reading a nice book, or walk along its paths.

When booking one of our vacation apartments from Friday to Friday, the seventh night is for free.

On request, we will serve you various drinks.

When fairs are in session, this apartment is only rented out as a single/double room without kitchen and living room.

At the times of the large fairs in Hannover, further service and buffet breakfast is offered as standard, at different prices.

Pets are not allowed in our apartments. If you want to travel with your pet, we will gladly refer you to suitable vacation apartments in the area.

Rental price does not include bed sheets or towels. These (and dish towels) can be booked optionally, for an additional fee of EUR 10 per person. We also offer a special, our bed sheets in historical design for EUR 15 per person.

Some of the vacation apartments can also be rented as 3-bed rooms or family rooms; EUR 10 per adult per night, EUR 6 for children from 4-12 years.

On request, you can also book room plus breakfast or half pension from our partner restaurants.

Vacation apartments can be booked from three nights minimum. For shorter stays, they are rented out as rooms with shared bath, without kitchen.

At check-out, apartments are to be swept clean and left before 12 noon. For a fee (see prices re. final cleaning, we will do the final cleaning for you. In that case, check-out is to be no later than 10 a.m.

For stays of longer duration, special prices are offered.

Please note that our main / high season is when the trade shows take place in Hannover mainly during Spring and Fall. Our off-season pricing is available during summer.

Location and Environs:
Gronau an der Leine was founded 1298 by Bishop Siegfried II. of Hildesheim in order to promote and militarily secure the trade in the surrounding area.

The city was established in a slope of the river Leine and additionally fortified by a dike and a ring wall.

Three noble families were entrusted with the city’s defense.

Nowadays, Gronau is a relaxing and interesting city for young and old, all through the year.

Historical Garden:
Garden of half-timbered houses Leinegarten: the park-like garden was established long ago by a plant lover. Its plants and other inhabitants profit from the closed-off character inside its high walls.

The garden and the entire complex is a protected natural monument.

It has gone somewhat wild, but is all the more romantic for it. There are not only rare plants from the fluvial landscape of the river Leine, but also very active animal life. Hegehogs, rare birds and bats have made their home here.

The area of the Leine mountains (Leinebergland) offers many sights and events.

Please register for events organized by us; they only take place if a minimum number of participants is reached.

In the immediate vicinity, you can find sports facilities of the city Gronau, e.g. open-air pool, riding stables, golf course, mini golf, tennis, sail planes, etc.

Spring in the Leinebergland:
Enjoy the spring on our hillslope meadows and in the fluvial areas of the Leine, when thousands of spring flowers come to bloom.

Enjoy hikes through the landscape newly awaking from the winter.

Even the lawn areas in our backyards will be full of flowers in spring.

April and May, the alleys of apple and cherry trees and the fruit tree meadows will be in bloom.

In the forest, one can find flowering wild leek and woodruff, as well as, at the end of May, forest orchids.
