Could have been better Jennifer S. from Dayton, TN does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in October, 2014 While I know I called to see if the room was available 2 hours before check in, it was not clean when we got in. I would have rather waited the extra 2 hours for it to be clean. The floors were filthy, the dishes were either put away wet or dirty (as in never having been washed at all, i.e. bacon grease an inch thick in a skillet), the toilet was dirty, the bedroom suit downstairs had stains on it, and you could see the upkeep on the property had not been done. It needs paint, and other refurbishments. The staff tried to help by bringing new glasses, but it was Wednesday and we had already purchased solo cups. Also, I had to wipe down all the counters with the wipes I had brought with me. I have stayed in this complex before in a different unit, and it was so well maintained. This was such a disappointment.
Love the beach! Brett D. from Maineville, OH recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 This is my second time staying in this unit. Much better experience with check in. The condo is nice but need some minor maintenance. Overall we had a fantastic experience
Outstanding Week Michael C. from Lawrenceville, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 The weather was perfect and the condo was very comfortable. Spacious and quiet. Just a quick walk to the gulf. Just need to remind the reservation folks that you need two key codes, one for the gate and one for the lock box.
Miramar beach villa 106 A guest from Scottsburo, AL does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Area is good, but the house was rundown! Stayed in another Miramar beach house before several times with no complaints. House was always clean and well taken care of! Villa 106, however, wasn't just half-cleaned (I won't describe what I could only determine to be poop on a bed post...who knows I didn't smell it), but the cooking utensils all the way to the beds were not just 2nd-hand, but at least 10th or 20th-hand items. Every bed in the house shook and wobbled. Every table seemed to be held together by the gum left by prior occupants and a shoddy cleaning crew. Every piece of linen had to be re-washed before we went to sleep. Everything but the location and beach were a problem (Its only saving grace). We did call the rental agency to complain and advise them of an open electrical wire--in the kid's bunk area!--but were met with a "whatever" type attitude. The agency did have the decency to send an electrician to repair the electrical wire, but didn't seem too concerned about any of the other issues we raised. Don't get me wrong, I understand a rental can't be impeccable and I can even tolerate a little bodily fluid left in a bathroom, but for the cash I put down for this rental I'd expect an agency with a bit more class and concern over the property they maintain. Skip this rental and look at one of the others in the same area.
Right across the street from the Beach! A guest from Mclout, KS recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 I loved the place! there were a couple things to keep in mind for future renters; the codes that were given to us for the gate to get into the condos were wrong, so that was something right from the beginning that was super frustrating. The other thing was there was a blanket in the upstairs closet that was clearly not washed. it smelled of body odor. other than those two things, we loved the place! super cute, quiet family friendly, and so close to 98 Hwy. Thanks for a relaxing stay.
Decent beach house A guest from Austin, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2014 Overall, this is a decent property with a great location.Check-in was a pain, as they were late in calling us and could not confirm that the cleaning of the property was completed. All while our 2 families had to wait outside after a 12 hour drive. Several calls to the management company later, they finally just gave us the code to enter. The property is nice, furniture is in generally good condition. Some odd stains on the master bedroom bed linen was off-putting. We just removed them and threw in the closet for our stay. 3 good sized cockroaches were found upstairs, but its a tropical environment. No issues in other parts of the house.Location is great. Quiet area, nice pool. Not a 5-star property, but adequate for a family vacation with a few improvements.
Fun place with grandchildren A guest from Cincinnati, OH recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in March, 2014 Plenty of room, and nice grounds are two benefits of these villas.Beach is just a walk across the street and what a beautiful beach it is.
Property Manager Response: Response from Select Homes, LLC Thank you for your review. Hope to see you next year!
Miramar Beach Villas A guest from Lake Ozark, MI does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 29 days in January, 2014 Your rental agreement is the most restrictive we have ever had and we will never sign such an agreement again. The property was in fair shape. The furnace broke while there but was replaced in 24 hours. The water dispenser on the refrigerator never worked despite calling in a work order. The vacuum never worked. The TV's are old and remotes didn't always function. Carpeting and furniture was old. Location was what we expected. We will not be staying there or doing any further business with this rental company again
Property Manager Response: Response from Select Homes, LLC Thank you for your feedback. The TVs have already been upgraded. The guest did not make us aware that the vacuum wasn't working. We offered to have maintenance repair the refrigerator but the guest declined. The guest did not report the headboard being broken. Our rental policies are no more or less restrictive than any other rental management company here.
First trip to Miramar/Destin Area William W. from Sellersburg, Indiana recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 My family has vacationed every year in Panama City Beach and decided this year to try a slightly different location. This area of Miramar andd Destin is much nicer than PCB. The villa location was convienent and in a nice area. The only negatives were small and did not take much away from our stay. Negatives were some missed cleaning spots,TVS are horribly out of date, and the downstairs bed frame is falling apart. Construction at the entrance was inconvienent for coming and going, but I do not believe there is anything the unit owners can do about that. The pool was very nice. The villas are very nice. We had 6 guests and everyone had a good time. The grounds of the villas were very clean. I would definatley stay again, but would probably try a villa other than 106 if the beds and tvs were the same.
2nd stay at Miramar Jeff S. from Kingsport, TN recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 The condo was very nice and clean as it was the previous time we stayed. We had some issues with the door lock and the refrigerator humming noisily. The TV's were too small for the distance they were away from the viewer. However, these are just minor issues. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. The location on the beach was excellent; very quiet and not crowded. We'd definitely stay again even though this property is a little pricey.
Good. The unit is clean. Location is very good. Not crowded. A guest from Rowlett, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this condo. Clean, great location and most of all not crowded. We can go to the pool and not fight the crowd. We were hesitant to book at first bec of tje bad reviews we read. Talked to the agent about those bad reviews. She assured us that it was taken care of . The unit was in good condition. TV's are old. Flat screen would have been better.Overall, will stay there again and recommend to other friends.
Best Beach Getaways A guest from Arlington, TN recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 We were told that check in would be after 4:oo p.m. When we called the company at 5:00 p.m. to inquire, we were told that it would be "any minute now". We were not called to check in until 6:30 p.m. And then we were given an incorrect code for the keybox. Then no one answered the phone for a while when we called back leaving us unable to get into our condo. after such a long ride. When we entered the condo., there were no parking passes. I called on the Mon. following our check in. I spoke w/ someone named Sarah. When I reported these things to her, she told me that "things happen" and "that's what happens when people just walk out on their job" which I felt was very unprofessional.
Miramar Villas #106 Stay Joyce H. from Bowling Green, KT recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in May, 2013 Everything was fine except the check in. We arrived around 3 and was unable to get in until 6:30 after calling numerous times only to be told they hadn't reached the cleaning crew to release it. We called the emergency number to get the code after trying to find the office and everyone left at 5 on a holiday weekend. The townhouse was very nice. We enjoyed our stay after we were able to get in. I would suggest having a better check in system.
Family vacation Nancy S. from Glenarm, IL does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 Refrig loud and annoying, furniture broken, beds, chairs, bar stools need to be glued. Door hinges need to be oiled. I fixed toilet seat, paddle fan and replaced light bulbs. Needs paint touch up. tvs need to be replaced. Short pillowcases. Front door lock needs to be replaced. loved area, complex great. Unit needs TLC. Would recommend to friends other units in complex. Not 106. Disappointed pool not heated.
Love the location A guest from Carmel, IN does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 Loved the location but the condo was in poor condition. The furniture was broken, broken toilet seat, many lights out, filthy carpets, etc. we had to call for maintenance when water came rushing out of one of the vents. I would have expected MUCH better conditions for the price.
Miramar Beach Villas #106 Jarrod C. from Owensboro, KY does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in October, 2012 This is our 3rd time staying in the Beach Villas and our worst. This unit needs some tender loving care. The TVs are outdated and are too small for the room size. Most of the faucets (bathroom/kitchen) were loose at the counter top. The beds were terrible to sleep in. Their were no items available to take to the beach. The smoke alarm was chirping and had to be disconnected. The vacuum cleaner did not work and we were unable to keep our unit clean throughout the week. The pool was condemned on Wednesday by the Health Dept. Overall, we love the area but will look elsewhere next. Bad Experience!
A very nice Villa with plenty of room and convenient parking A guest from Chattanooga, TN recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 We enjoyed our stay in this unit very much. It was spacious which came in handy since we had 2 days of almost non-stop rain during our week visit. The only real disappointment was the relatively small number of cable channels available since we spent quite a bit of time indoors. We will consider a return trip in the future.
Destin Vacation Reviewed by: A guest does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 overall stay was good. Villa was up to date and very roomyLocation is across the street from beach. However you can not see the beach from any of the Villas. There is another property on the beach front that blocks view.
Nice condo just vey dirty Reviewed by: RUSSELL G. does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 The condo has a very good location , the place was dry dirty. They only cleaned the high spots. The frige still had food stuff in it. And after three messages to the rental. Company no returned calls from. Customer service . Would. Not rent again. Based on poor cleanliness and no tv channels. It rained several days while we were there. and that we cannot speak with anybody about this issues
Destin first time visit A guest from Richardson, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in July, 2010 This was our first visit to Destin & we were unsure where to stay. This location was nice - across street from beach, close to grocery, restaurants, shopping. The condo was not immaculate, heavy dust on ceiling fan, refrigerator a little dirty, but both were fairly easy to take care of. One ceiling fan was not working and a light was burned out in one bedroom. Again, nothing serious or unlivable. It would have been very helpful to have some general instruction as to things such as 2 thermostats, operation of door locks, beach access, nearest grocery, nearby restaurants. We eventually figured all this out, but as first time visitors arriving on a weekend, this would have been appreciated. Also, vm was full when we did call the after hr phone #. Emails were answered within reason for a weekend. Will probably ck into other rentals next time for comparison, but would stay here again.

Stayed for 7 days in July, 2010 Overall stay was great. Grill was a little small and I had to clean out a birds nest from it. Other then that...wonderful.
Need a Little Attention Belinda D. from Mcdonough, GA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2010 The place is very nice and the location is good. It just needs a little attention. For example, the living room is very "cold" and not comfortable at all. A big rug (not a mat) would really help. In fact, rugs would help in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. It just needs to he "kozied up" a little to make for a more comfortable vacation house. The Rooms2Go decor is fine for a beach house but the bed downstairs is falling apart. All the bed linens need to be drycleaned. And it was not clean when we arrived (floors were sandy; glass doors were really dirty and the showers needed some Tilex.
Door Locks Very Difficult to Operate eric r. from mount washington, KY recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2010 Our biggest complaint was the door locks have a special way you have to go about opening them with your key. We had to ask a neighbor about what the process is. Also the directions on the gate at the front make no sense at all. Everybody new that came in wa confused. I helped several people after they told me the right code. You have to press # before entering the code instead of after
Summer 2010 eddie h. from Cleveland, GA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in June, 2010 It is apparent that these properties were originally constructed to be sold and not rented. They are of higher quality. Other than a few small bugs that the rental agency is on top of, we were very pleased with our stay a Miramar Beach Villas. Only downside would be that the units are not beachfront. They are, however, walking distance and in a good area.
