A guest from Canyon City, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2014 Perfect opportunity to relax and "be in the moment". Without distractions of phone or TV, we immersed ourselves in the beauty of the beach and long walks.
A guest from Eugene, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014 I had a great time staying at the sandy seclusion.I could not access the laundry room would be the only the thing I would say bad.Beach was right there and I would stay there again.
Bob M. from MT Angel, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014 We had a great time. The weather was great for sitting and watching but not so good for beach walking. The place was neat!
A guest from Billings, MT recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2014 I WENT TO THE BEACH TO SEEK PEACE AND QUIET,..WHICH I FOUND IN ABUNDANCE! I SINCERELY ENJOYED MY STAY AT THE WONDERFUL COTTAGE. THE OCEAN-FRONT LOCATION AND THE SOUND OF THE WAVES WERE EXACTLY WHAT I HAD ANTICIPATED. I HAD ONLY TWO ISSUES: THE COTTAGE NEEDS TO BE " DEEP CLEANED" SOMETIME SOON,...AND I WAS UNABLE TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE LAUNDRY ROOM. THIS NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED BY THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY. OR, DO NOT LIST THAT THERE IS A WASHER/DRYER AVAILABLE FOR GUEST USE. OVERALL,...WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE. MENTIONED TIME AT " SANDY SECLUSION" WAS WELL SPENT!
Peter H. from Encinitas, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013 This is a great spot if you want only one neighbor and a big long beach right out your front door to walk on. Fun little beach house with a creek right on the property and a great ocean view. A bit far to walk to town, but an easy 5 min drive. We even walked south on the beach and trails to the Adobe for lunch and a drink. It was only my girlfriend and I, but the house seems great for kids too with the extra room and beds.
A guest from Nampa, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2013 My husband and I really loved how secluded this rental was, and the jetted bathtub was amazing... Also, the beach wasn't very crowded so it felt like it was our own personal beach. We had a blast! Our only 2 complaints about this rental was that it was located just off the road so it was really loud if the windows were open and the path down to the beach is climbing down the rocks which my husband and I and one of our dogs enjoyed but our older dog (13 years old) had a hard time getting up and down them so we ended up carrying her down most of the time.
A guest from eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 This was a perfect little spot for our two night get away. The huge lawn was a surprise. It is Everything it claims to be. Very satisfied.
Anne B. from Carson City, NV recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in September, 2013 The property was wonderful in many ways and we enjoyed our nine nights there. However, the cleaning company left much to be desired. I know there was a cleaning company because a "tip envelope" was laying on the kitchen table. I am not sure why I would want to tip someone who was cleaning up from the people who stayed before me, but there it was. Also, to one of our party of two it appeared that the sheets had not been changed before our arrival. I am assuming that the cleaning company would also handle that task. We also could not start the Bar-B-Q. On the plus side Sandy Seclusion is stocked with everything you could want: DVDs, books, videos with the appropriate players, dishes, utensils, towels, even candles. It is also handy to have a washer and dryer on the premises and the gas fireplace was so nice. The nightly cost was a bargain for what was provided and you could tell the owner loves the place by the way it is decorated and stocked. I would suggest bringing a good knife if you are going to be cooking (and you really should). We are counting this as one of the best vacations ever and miss Sandy Seclusion already. Maybe next year.
A guest from Charlotte, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 Sandy Seclusion is indeed secluded - easy access to the beach - saw a whale bobbing in and out of the water - some seals. Very pretty area and great beach.
Daniel M. from Donald, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 We've fallen in love with Yachats and have tried various places to stay. This was our favorite by far. The house is well positioned, great access to the beach, clean, and inviting. After several months of overworking, this vacation and this house helped bring the family back together; bringing some balance back to life. It helped that electronics were minimal and cell service was practically zero. Sometimes you need to be forced to unhook before you actually can.
Kristopher S. from Twin Falls, ID does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2013 Not a bad house just not the same quality we have had with ocean odyssey properties in the past. Laundry room needs attention and pest control a must.
Natalie B. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2013 We loved being so close to the beach. The bathroom was beautiful and newly renovated. The gas fireplace was really nice and we used it a few times. The house and yard were in good condition. The bunk beds had comfortable mattresses. As of our stay aug 2013, The master bedroom mattress was not comfortable. There was no oven nor a toaster oven (suggestion for future), and the fridge needs to be replaced (was condensing inside). But overall a very nice location, good house, good price, and we had a great time!
debra b. from willard, utah recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 We have rented through Ocean Odyssey several times and have always been very happy - however, this year we arrived to find the home to be very dirty. The kitchen and bathroom floors were so dirty we stuck to them when we walked. The comforter on the king sized bed was filthy as well. We took it off and found some blankets for the bed and just decided not to take off our shoes in the house. But we had a hard time relaxing when we were trying not to touch anything. By the second day we decided to just spend the afternoon mopping floors and cleaning the bathroom so we could relax and get comfortable. We shouldn't have had to spend our vacation scrubbing the house. We paid for housekeeping! Very dissapointed!!!!!
A guest from Bend, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 My husband and I enjoyed a two night stay to celebrate my turning 50. The beachfront home was adorable, very private and well cared for. The weather could not have been more perfect. We saw whales from the front lawn twice! We have two teenage children and plan to bring them back here. My only complaint is the laundry facilities are a bit grim. We like to do week-long+ stays and it's tough at the coast not to have to do laundry. We have stayed in Ocean Odyssey homes more than a dozen times. While this one will be a bit tight for a family of 4 with older children - it's a gem! Thank you.
