Hello!
Looking for a clean, cute and affordable flat, located in the heart of historic Lisbon?
Here you have! Right in the neighbourhood of Santa Catarina, a few steps away from Bairro Alto.
This is the flat where my family and friends stay when they visit Lisbon, but, the house is so nice that I thought that it would be a waste to leave it just there when I don't have guests!
So, it is your chance to experience the city, from a locals point of view! :)
And, once you get here, you'll see why this is one of the best locations to stay in Lisbon.
My friends love it, and I'm sure you will love it too. :)
It is a small flat, located in the ground floor, in an calm and quiet street, closed to traffic.
Within walking distance (2minutes) to Adamastor, Bica, Bairro Alto, Baixa-Chiado, Principe Real.. well, I dare say, everything that you want will be a few minutes away, by foot :)
It has one bedroom, with bed for 2, and 1 pull-out sofa in the living room, suitable for 2person, if you are not too big :)
It has tiled walls, which are one of Lisbon's exlibris, as you'll have the chance to find out.
There is a fully equipped kitchen (including, clothes washer, refrigerator with freezer, oven, microwave, etc.),
Bathroom with a cute bathtub (not a regular shower where you shower standing), and hair-dryer.
There is also wireless internet, which you can carry out with you while visiting the city, because there is a 3G pen available - no extra charge.
(There can be a baby bed and other equipment, but it is shared with the guests of my other house, so, you must check with me first, to see if it is available. No extra charge for that.)
If you plan to visit other nice/typical districts in Lisbon, which I hope you do, there are several types of public transportation really close. For instance, the TRAM 28, the Baixa-Chiado subway, several buses, taxis, and the trains to Cascais and Sintra.
The triangle Bairro Alto/Bica/Santa Catarina is one of the most famous bohemian and historic areas in Lisbon. 500 years of history, already!
It is the king of the night-life scene.
Here you will find cultural venues, restaurants, bars, dancing and singing clubs, trendy shops, and, of course, Fado (the traditional Portuguese song) - which was recently classified as world heritage, by UNESCO .
During the day, the district is totally different.
A traditional neighbourhood, with the locals playing cards or chatting at the window or next door groceries, while tourists and other people from Lisbon and abroad visit art galleries & book and music shops.

The bus nr 22 is cheaper than the aerobus, but if you have a lot of luggage, sometimes they don't let you in.
