Rocky Mountain Lodge is nestled on 6 private wooded acres near Cle Elum! You'll enjoy the tranquility of your own private escape amongst the tall pine trees. The expansive deck is great for relaxing and taking in the views of Peoh Point.
Newly constructed Rocky Mountain Lodge is nestled on 6 private wooded acres near Cle Elum! You'll enjoy the tranquility of your own private escape amongst the tall pine trees. The expansive deck is great for entertaining, or just relaxing and taking in the views of Peoh Point. Rocky Mountain is ideal for multiple families needing 4 bedrooms and an additional loft for the kids.
The great room is the heart of the cabin with soaring 25ft pine ceilings and a floor to ceiling river rock gas fireplace! The great room also features a 10ft wide projection screen with satellite! (The projection screen is best for viewing after dark or low light.) The chef's kitchen boasts all Viking Appliances, Double Ovens, and Corian countertops! Just outside the great room is the oversized 500 sq ft deck. The cabin also has a bonus room in the basement that is a great spot for the kids to hang out. It has a large TV with Satellite and a DVD player. The cabin has a 2 stall carport that comes in very handy during the winter snow months.
On the main floor you'll find a Queen Bedroom, a bathroom and the mud room with washer and dryer. Upstairs is the Master King Bedroom with a private bathroom, including a 2 person jetted jacuzzi tub! The loft is off the master bathroom and is a great place for extra kids to sleep. In the basement are 2 additional Queen Bedrooms and another bathroom. The cabin will sleep 12 comfortably! The cabin has radiant floor heating to keep your toes warm during the winter and during the summer you'll enjoy the air conditioning. Outside the main floor is a gas BBQ and a fire pit to enjoy s'mores with the kids!
The cabin is located 3 miles out of Cle Elum in the desirable Tillman Creek area. You'll be at the base of the south Cle Elum ridge with great views of Peoh Point. You can hike, mountain bike and snowmobile directly from your front door! The cabin is also close to the Yakima River which offers some of the best trout fishing in the state. Just a few miles from the cabin you can experience championship golf at Suncadia Resort, or take out a few divots at the Sun Country Golf Course!

We loved the layout and the surrounding around the cabiin. One small complaint the kitchen cabinets inside were dirty with food crumbs and the floors weren't very clean in the kitchen as well! But it's didn't ruin or fun! We plan on coming back and staying again when the weather is nice ?? NICE, but not quite worth the price Victor V. from Everett, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 We have been to several cabins in the past. Actually we go to a cabin at least once or twice a year. This cabin was beautiful inside and the location was great. We enjoyed the heated floors on the main floor, especially since we have little children. We loved the fact that you could park your snowmobiles outside and ride right from the front door to the trails.Cons: not stocked very well at all. There was no flour!!! Seriously, who packs flour to a cabin? There was no soap, shampoo, or anything for the showers. Even cheap hotels have small containers of this stuff. There was like one extra roll of toilet paper in every bathroom which would have not been enough if our whole group came as we originally planned. There is no TV in the main living area, just a projector which you have to go upstairs to turn on and off or to switch channels. It got annoying really quick. The projector was also very difficult to work. The other thing we did not like was that the room with two bunk beds is through the master bedroom!!! So if anyone sleeps on a bunk they have to enter or exit your room through the master bedroom. There was like no extra pillows or blankets. Also, maybe this is a normal thing, but we have never had to do this in any other cabin we have ever stayed in: take off all the bedding once you are done, do the dishes, and do a load of towels before you leave.I felt like I had to scrub out the place before we left even though they charge you a cleaning fee. The place was basically spotless by the time we did all their chores. I wished they had a humidifier as the air gets dry in the mountains. Also a space heater would have been nice for the basement, it was absolutely freezing in the basement rooms. Lastly, they have nothing there to do for children. Not a single board game, no books, or movies. The fireplace was hard to get to work, but it was beautiful. Anyway, the place is nice, but simply not worth the money once you see how horribly stocked it is. For others reading this post, we don't stock the cabin with flour, but we did put at least 10+ rolls of TP in the cabin. We usually leave extra in the laundry room in addition to the extra rolls in the bathrooms. We do ask guests to strip the beds that they use, so we know which ones were slept in. Starting a load and starting the dishwasher is optional, but appreciated! The TV remote should work from the living room and we'll look into it. There is also a large flatscreen in the downstairs bonus room in addition to the 6' great room projection screen. As far as price is concerned we think it's a good value based on the location and size of the home, but this guest stayed during NYE which is our highest price of the year based on demand.Thanks again!Kevin & Wendie |

Rocky Mtn review Liz P. from Duvall, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2012 The location and house were beautiful, but there were a number of issues with the property. There was a infestation of ants, and no one wanted to stay in the basement because of how many there were. The dishwasher was broken so we had to do lots of dishes by hand, which was not really fun on vacation. Also the water was disgusting. We could not drink it, and all our baths, showers were with brown water. The water left actual rings around the tub. I do agree that there were a lot of ants. The house is on well water and it does have a lot of iron in it. We recommend bringing bottled water for drinking. I thought it could have been a little cleaner dust wise, and it was aparent that pets (cats?) had been in the cabin, as some of us had allergies while we were in the cabin (and we saw a cat door in the laundry room). There were several lights that were burned out throughout the home. All in all, a great stay though, but would have liked to know it had been occupied by pets before booking. The home theater setup was fun and the views from the wrap around deck were awesome and peaceful. Great spot! The 8 of us had a terific stay, except the closets don't have hanging rods and there were not enough of those cheap little rolling racks to hang our snowmobile gear to dry. Therefore, there was no place to hang our regular shirts, etc. Living out of suitcases for 4 nights wasn't really what we expected. It would be nice to have dressers in the bedrooms as well as proper hanging closet rods.Do you know that the basement shower plumbing is not secure inside the wall? And that there is no calking aroun the hot/cold water handle? When you pull up on the faucet knob to turn on the shower, the whole thing moves - a lot!The projection TV is very complicated to work. It is fantastic to view, but I wish it was easier.Again, we had a terrific time. Our first impression of "Wow" when we walked in is what I remember. The house is well equipped for the most part, very open layout with plenty of space for everyone. The screen for the TV was probably over 100" and watching movies was a blast! I can't say enough about this place...we are torn, do we go there again next year or try another place? I think they'll see us back again next year...hopefully with more snow!PS..working with Wendie and Kevin was great, I was a little scared to rent a house for the first time and they answered all of my questions (some silly) promptly and made me feel completely comfortable!
