ACCOMMODATIONS SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTING Reviewed by: A guest does not recommend this property. Stayed for 90 days in January, 2013 Boulder amenities are great--especially the serene pool area with its lush landscaping. The fitness center offers good equipment. Conversely, our vacation rental was deficient in numerous areas. On arrival, we could not access our condo due to being given an incorrect lockbox code. Then the front door lock proved to be defective. That issue was never resolved in spite of 2 visits by a repairman. The unit sorely needed a new front door mat. Debris from a disintegrating cocoa-fiber 'rug' was constantly tracked into the unit. In the LR, the sofa was fairly comfortable. We ended up purchasing, and leaving behind, a 2nd small chair to supplement the seating. The DR table was worn; the carpeting was dirty. The kitchen, while small, was serviceable and had sufficient cupboard space. Management purchased a few basic essentials that were lacking. On a negative note, the kitchen cutlery was so dull we were forced to purchase several knives. The coffee pot carafe dripped excessively & needs to be replaced. Unlike the kitchen, the bathroom/laundry area is spacious except for a small vanity. The laundry area could use additional shelving. We loved having a king bed but an excessively soft mattress, a down comforter too small for the bed, and lack of a TV were negatives. The balcony off of the bedroom was pleasant during the cooler months of Jan/Feb. Our overall assessment is that this unit was serviceable as a vacation rental but not memorable. The homeowner could assist lessees by leaving detailed instructions on how to use the electronics and access the Internet. Trying to deal with Comcast proved to be very frustrating. Likewise, management could represent the lessor better by being more responsive to lessee issues. Response time to messages left during normal business hours was very slow. If a few improvements are made to this particular unit, future renters could be assured of a fantastic stay in a lovely development in a prime location. |
