Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 Overall, great home and perfect location. The bedrooms need fans as even with the windows open at night the house was warm. The heater was off on the thermostat but the floor vents stayed warm. We requested repair and no one ever came. Besides the house being too warm and skimpy kitchen ware, it was very nice and we would stay their again.
Needs some work - still waiting on returned phone call. Jay M. from Atlanta, GA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 6 days in March, 2015 This is our second time booking via Black Diamond, and disappointed in the lack of customer service and communication from staff. We dealt with Sandy last year and there was a big drop off in professionalism. House is in a great location, but needs some minor repairs. Stove top smells of gas, some burners need replacing, the kitchen faucet was loose and leaking water when we arrived, up stairs toilet doesn't work/flush, the grill was filthy and did not work well. We had to call the sales office to get someone to come repair it because the multiple voice mails we left for rental office are still not returned. Had to buy our own supplies that were supposed to be included, and the kitchen supplies (cups, glasses, kitchen tools) are lacking. Just as an FYI, I gave an excellent review of Home 36 last Spring.

Stayed for 7 days in December, 2014 We have stayed in a Moonlight Mountain Home for the pst 3 years. Overall these homes, and number 39 in particular was beautiful in decor and location. During the last year, there have been big changes to the Big Sky/Moonlight area and I feel that these homes may no longer be worth the price. Last year, for the same price, lift tickets were included for the length of our stay and we had access to the Moonlight spa and pool. This was not the case this year. Since the Moonlight lodge has now been converted to a private club, access to the pool for our children was not possible, even to purchase for the week. Jeff from Black Diamond did try and arrange access to the pool for us but this did not materialize. Because we went through VRBO instead of Big Sky Rental, we did not have access to the Huntley lodge pool either. There was a beautiful hot tub on the property overlooking Big Sky so that was nice. Lastly, I feel that the kitchen was not as well appointed in terms of cooking utensils as in years past. No hand mixer, pie plate, storage containers, and baking supplies. It was a challenge to prepare a Christmas dinner for 16 with what we had. All of these are fairly trivial issues, so we did thoroughly enjoy our stay. Hopefully all these issues will be addressed once this time of change is complete with the resort. Know that my numerical review is a reflection of the quality based upon the price we paid.
Mountain Home 39 Moonlight Basin Vacation Jerry V. from St Louis, MO recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in February, 2014 This property is in a great ski in/out location. Great views and great layout. Only criticisms are there could be more base supplies (toilet paper, laundry detergent) for a week long stay AND this place needs a deep cleaning. While it wasn't filthy by any means, many cobwebs were present on light fixtures and a thick coating of dust was present on fireplace mantles and bedroom headboards.
We loved Moonlight Mountain Home 39!!! Robert M. from Basking Ridge, NJ recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in December, 2013 Moonlight Mountain Home 39 was everything we had hoped for in a ski-in/ski-out home at Big Sky. The house was very conveniently located just off Bootlegger and right above the Moonlight Lodge. The house was clearly built within the last few years and was very well maintained. In addition, it had all of the features that we needed in a vacation rental. Nancy - you made our first stay at Big Sky a wonderful experience!!! We hope to be back soon.

Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 Cobwebs were present around the light fixtures. Sandy was amazing!! She was very helpful at working with my time for check-in and did a great job of showing us the place and mapping out location from ski hill.Hot tub was a plus..really enjoyed the view!!It was great to have enough room for everyone....plenty of floor space for air mattresses. What a great time and wonderful place to enjoy the March snow! I will be back for sure!

Stayed for 5 days in March, 2012 Overall a great property...Jeff Helms is a great manager and very pleasant to deal with. This property needs some needs more dishes, not enough glasses and the plates were chipped. No coffee grinder as stated in the description and not enough variety in baking dishes and cooking utensils. The Satellite only worked in two places, the LR and one bedroom, this was a disappointment as we would have liked a working TV in the MBr. The hot tub was cold and the MBr fireplace did not work; these issues were fixed ASAP, it could have been avoided with a basic checklist before guests arrive. We preferred the property on Bulldogger, Mountain Home 66, that we stayed in last year, we compared this home to that one our entire stay and found this property wanting. The plus was the ski in/out, this property was much easier to access. We love Moonlight and will be back and will definitely lease from Jeff again! Thank you for making our stay fairly uneventful!
