Resort: The small Valais village of Toerbel is situated on a broad terrace, high above the Rhone valley. 7 km south of Visp, at Stalden, a 11 km long, curving mountain road leads up to it. Toerbel can also be reached by post-bus from Stalden. Toerbel is not a fashionable holiday centre but a cosy and friendly resort.
Resort in Summer: The sunny mountain terrace is ideal for relaxing or strenuous hikes in the mountains.
Resort in Winter: Most of the ski runs are north facing and therefore promise good snow conditions right up to the end of the season. The runs lead down from Toerbel to Buerchen and there are 2 drag lifts. There are also cross country ski trails on the mountain terrace from Toerbel to Eischoll, with a total length of 25 km.
